Lord, technically. We have a lot of loanwords from persian in India. Heck, urdu is persianised Hindustani and its spoken widely here and its completely intelligible to sanskritised hindustani (hindi).
Just be careful not to confuse Malik with Malik (I did not confuse the spelling, roman letters aren't helpful here), one is a king and the other is an owner, where the word mamluk came from (a slave, although abd is more commonly used, mamluk was still used at some point). Malik (one who owns) is still a common first name today, King isn't, although Malak might still be used as a name (from angel)

Maybe the Western slaves were just being lazy. /s But more seriously, slavery varied a lot between cultures even among different western ones over time and location and even individuals. An enslaved Greek scholar serving a Roman household will be treated differently than a German man impressed into an army who will be treated differently than the public slaves acting as firefighters and court police in Rome who will be treated differently from an African slave in Brazil on a sugar plantation who will be treated differently than a colonial American house slave. Some could buy their freedom while others weren't even allowed to have any personal property to begin to do so. Some were respected for their personal merits, while others were worked to death in a few months. Some were released on their masters' deaths, while others would have their entire family lines be in perpetual servitude. Some were basically considered family members and others were considered subhuman trash or unenlightened savages. Slavery has a lot more complexities and forms than most people realize.

After Malik Ambar, it was Shahjiraje Bhosle(whose father served in the army of Malik Ambar) protected Ahmednagar with Bijapur assistance but Adil shah made a peace with Mughals and on the orders of Shah Jahan placed Shahjiraje Bhosle in deep south in Bangalore but his son, Shivajiraje Bhosle first defeated Adilshah, then the Mughal forces in Deccan and carved out his independent kingdom.
