    Great video. I have a question, can human catch worms (tapeworms for example) from birds (especially chicken / hen eggs) ? Thank you for reading.

      If you don’t wash your hands after cleaning their droppings and then eat , yes you can , but it isn’t very common

      Hi, we do not recommend giving wormout gel to birds until they are fully weaned.

    What should be the dosage of wormout gel for sun conure and medium sulphur cockatoo in per liter of water ? I am from India and this year I would like to use Vetafarms wormout gel for worming schedule.

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  4 года назад

      Hi, thank you for commenting on our vide! Each pump of Wormout Gel delivers 1mL. (1L bottle delivers 2mL per pump).
      For the drinking water dose, we recommend you dilute Wormout Gel with water at the recommended dose rate
      and provide this as the sole source of water for 2 days. (Mix up fresh each day).
      For all aviary birds, including your Conure and Cockatoo, we recommend that you add 2mL of Wormout Gel to 160mL of drinking water.
      Repeat this once every 3 months.

    In Indian condition where hot are most of the year.Can it possible to apply wormout gel.Recently I want to use moxivet plus.Your advice is needed .Thank you .

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  3 года назад

      Hi Sanjoy, if it is hot we recommend ensuring the bowls of treated water are in a shaded, cooler area. When dosing, keep an eye on your birds to ensure they are drinking (some birds don't like the taste of Wormout Gel). You can use a small amount of organic apple or orange juice to increase palatabilty, just ensure you include it as water in the dilution ratio. :)

    I suspect my new budgie I got yesterday has worms, as he keeps scratching his bum. Is this a sign?

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thank you for contacting us! We would definitely recommend beginning by worming and mite treating the budgie, these are the two most common causes of the itchiness. If it doesn't stop after treating him for mites and worms, we would recommend taking the bird to a veterinarian. :)
