    finally a new release, cheers, I've been with you for a while and have rewatched all your videos. When I watched videos one after the other, it was normal because I could watch 2 episodes a day, but now I miss it, it’s a little sad that I have to wait a week, but when a video comes out, it’s a joy

    Thanks for the video, you make Monday morning a bit better. Nice dinghy. I have maintaining an Honda outboard engine for many year now and the weak point is the water pump. I would get a spare water pump kit in addition to oil filter, gaz filter, spark plugs, oil and gear oil. You need to carry at least an impeller. Talking of gear oil, I would recommend putting anti-seize on the two screws you use for gear oil change. They tend to stick to the chassis like crazy.

    Jason, with that much power, be safe an attach the motor kill cord to your person. Just in case you leave the dinghy on a turn or wave.

    lovely new tender, that's exactly what you need and good practice to get the pump and fenders also. a little trick we use at sea to semi lock shackles up is to get some small but strong seizing wire and wire the eye of the shackle pin up to the body of the shackle, yes it can be cut of by someone that's determined but that takes time and they won't want to hang around. great video again and great that you show the locations of the ports on the map/chart and the town walk arounds are a good addition to the videos as many people like to see this for future holidays. well done you guys keep up the good work and keep enjoying.

    Remember what they say about new tenders. “Keep it looking nice and you will buy it twice”.
    Take off all the motor decals and stick an “8” on the back of the cover. Take dinghy repair patches and stick a few on the RIB.

    • @LeadingtheEscapade
      @LeadingtheEscapade  Год назад +1

      Oh god haha I hope not! We actually covered the motor with an old black t-shirt as we saw them all doing it in Venice in Italy just after this, but will prob get a canvas cover made for it. Believe it or not we actually had a mishap a couple of weeks after this and had to do a real repair so she now has an ugly patch on her :( haha but I guess we're taking your advice then LOL. cheers Clark :)

    Great to see you guys back! Nice tender! I would suggest putting a cover over the motor to make it not look so inviting to thieves. Something just to cover up the fact that it is a brand new Honda.

    • @LeadingtheEscapade
      @LeadingtheEscapade  Год назад +1

      Thanks Doug :) yeah we actually did end up covering it with a T-shirt so it didn't Get scratched either but we'll get a cover made for it too when we redo our canvas. I know a lot of people take off the stickers or scratch them up so they don't look so nice and new and more likely to get stolen but I just don't think we could do it haha. We do lock it up everywhere though and also lock the motor to the tender itself. Cheers

    17:27 is where I’m up to so if it’s said later I’m sorry, but it looks like that’s a folding transom? But it’s definitely designed to have fold down wheels, And before you buy some, take S/V blown aways advice and buy the solid cheaper wheels, apparently the pneumatic ones don’t last, They even have a whole episode to show you how to cover your tender, the episode is called “it’s a cover up”

      Yeah the wheels would prob be handy in Caribbean or somewhere with large tidal differences so we don’t get stuck on the beach 🤣 cuz she’s heavy!

      @@LeadingtheEscapade yeah and the cover, If you watch that link they actually used a huge ship rope around it, because some docks a covered in razor sharp shellfish, Plus the cover inc the engine, just another way to not make her look so brand new an tempting to would be thieves.

    Beautiful tender, shout out to the fan that provided that very generous donation. I'm sure you read the manual on the Honda and hopefully found the section on the break-in stages. It is quite important to follow the mfg's specs on that. As another commenter noted, you'll want to add a bridle to the bow of the tender to keep it from yawing too much as you tow it.

    • @LeadingtheEscapade
      @LeadingtheEscapade  Год назад +1

      Thanks so much!! Incredibly lucky 🥰 we sure did, also had some good advice from a friend who had bought one so that was handy. Yeah Irs a little awkward with the highfield as it doesn’t have the same attachment points for a bridle as our old tender. But we will look into how we could do it ☺️ cheers

      Hey John, yeah we would've loved to have stayed longer and hired a car, unfortunately we're on a pretty tight budget currently so we cant afford to do as much land travel as we'd like yet, but hopefully as our channel grows we'll be able to do that a little more. However we were so close to going to Trieste! I think they have a sailing race on so it would've been mayhem and we needed to get down the East coast of Italy before the wind started to frequently blow from the south. Cheers :)

    Hey there strangers!! How come this video didn’t get posted last week? I’ve been going through withdrawals to see your guys next video lmao 😂!! I hope everything has been going good and that both of you are well!! At timestamp 2:00 I think Jase did an amazing job on telling us to come along with you guys on your scooter ride lol!! And also I had a question for you two……… you said you guys try to run the engine as little as possible because of diesel prices so I was just curious what diesel prices were over there in Slovenia 🇸🇮? I’m soooooooooooo happy that this episode finally came out, I’ve been going crazy to see what Lemon 2.0 looked like lol!! Ever since you told me on Instagram…. at least I think that’s where it was, that you guys had gotten a new one, I’ve been going crazy to see it!!!! 😊😁 And man oh man it is soooo so nice, you guys did an awesome job picking it out! What I like most about it is that it is an aluminum hull!! It is going to ride so much better then a soft bottom tender and it has the foam flooring in it which makes it soft on the feet!! You two are upscale now lol!! And that brand new Honda engine, what a beauty that thing is also!! You two are able to go above 5 knots now lol!!! A very very big CONGRATULATIONS to you both on your new tender and I hope you name it Lemon 2.0 haha 😛😆 And holy shit, I wrote this comment before I got to the part where you called it Lemon 2.0, now that just freaked me out lmfao!!! Well now that I heard you say that, I’m so glad that’s what your calling it, well at least I hope that’s what you two name it 😁👌🏼👍🏼! I’m soooooooo so happy for you guys that you were able to get a new tender that is freaking awesome 🤘🏼🤙🏼🤟🏼👍🏼👏🏼👊🏼!!!!! You guys totally deserve it 1000%!!! And as always you guys killed it on this video as well and you know that I can’t wait for your next one to come out!!! I also gotta say that you narrate the videos soooooo well, keep up the awesome work on that!!!! And keep the badass videos coming lol!!!!
