Well done for using the bracket ears. it’s so disappointing to see so-called high-end case makers mounting the screws from outside of a beautiful wood case 🤦🏼♂️
Great video and I can't wait to do a build with these rails. This should definitely be the new standard. Who is the maker of the blue case you have? I didn't catch the name.
They look good, my engineering brain says "How did they sort the strength of the threads in Aluminium as I find it relatively easy to cross-thread or strip the threads from a Threaded Steel strip, at the very least they would need hard anodising after being tapped (Threaded)" Cheers
Asiarack uses high-strength 6061 aluminum alloy combined with anodizing process, which can be applied in most scenarios used by artists. Additionally, the material of the thumb screw is also aluminum alloy, specifically designed to work with the rail. Nevertheless, caution should still be exercised when tightening the screws.
You could use nylon screws, but best practice is to always reverse direction and feel the threads ‘click’ before attempting to start threading the screws down. It’s really hard to cross thread when you do it that way
@@CatFish107 No, that's not the case. It is still safe to use metal screws as long as they are used properly, as the M3 screw holes are not very large, so the risk of stripping the threads is minimal. Just make sure to use them correctly.
Thank you everyone!

Thanks you so much sir👍
Looks cool

Ross Lamond made the case!
@QuincasMoreira thank you for replying. I was afraid that was the name. Seems like Mr. Lamond isn't making cases anymore, sadly.
@ it’s true, he is not 😔

@Teian-world oh, so one should not use the ubiquitous thumbscrews used for eurorack?
@@enginerdyyep been doing that for 10+ years

Where did you get that blue case? Did you make it?
Ross Lammond made it for me years ago! Sadly he’s no longer making cases 😔
