How to use NodeMCU with Arduino IDE for programming?

- There are different ways to write a program for NodeMCU but in this video we will learn how to write the program for NodeMCU in Arduino IDE and also we will learn the easiest way to link NodeMCU (esp8266) with Arduino IDE. Also you will learn the way to add the board manager (NodeMCU) in Arduino.
To add the board manager you need to add a link in the prefrences. So Goto Files _ Prefrences

To make your NodeMCU work with arduino and to communicate NodeMCU with your system you need to install the drivers that i have mention in video and the link to download it and install it on your sytem:

what if i want arduino send an integer or number or "done" , if user choose selection menu ? once he select 1 from 5 selection, then arduino send to nodemcu then to server , ?
I didn't get your question. Can you please clarify what do you mean?

On the touch screen there will be 5 selection for user. And there will be 5 selection on the touch screen waiting user to select.
Everytime user select one of them , i want to send “done” to that selected, to online database or server, then store it there and later i will access it from mobile app.

I have the same board as yours. Windows 7. Port is selected as com5. Board is chosen same as yours. I hear audio from the laptop when the board is connected with usb cable.
When i upload blink sketch, i get error "the selected serial port doesn't exist or your board is not connected"!
Tried several usb cables but the problem persists. What else i am missing?
That sound occurs everytime to insert any usb device or cable. And do one thing check the port list before connecting the usb to system and then connect it . Now check for the new port that has appeared that will be the port in your case and if it's not showing any new port then may be your usb cable is not working for you

If you checked everything then may be you will have to install ch341 drivers on your system

When i connect/disconnect, the board, serial port com 5 appears/disappears. So drivers and cable are ok but i am getting the same issue

Sir drivers settings
No needed. But in case your system requirements drivers to be installed seperately then download ch340 drivers for your OS.
