Just want to say how valuable your podcasts has been for me as I started my own financial journey recently. All started from seeing Ben's videos and fully jumped to the evidence based investing mindset. Your podcasts have made me more interested in finance ever before and even made me choose to work for a fintech in the field of investments (and yes we believe in index funds). Thank you to you both Ben and Cameron making my Thursdays exciting
Hi from Argentina!!! Ive started the rational reminder marathon two months ago. I enjoyed each single episode so far, specially this one. Amazing content...
not sure what the purpose of having microsoft sam read a bulletin through a microphone on a dying 10 year old laptop was, but here we are. Also not really sure how that qualifies as a conversation, when he's reading underhand pitched questions off a script with no follow up whatsoever. Glad I listened to the second half because the first half was just absolute agony to get through, as the actual podcast was fantastic as per usual the content was great and I continue to learn more and more as weeks go on, probably heard 1/2 - 2/3 of the podcasts now great content guys keep up the excellent work.
Jake, I agree. It didn't feel like an interview. It felt like a government employee simply reading pre-prepared, pre-approved statements. Of course, not the boys' fault. They did a great job asking the questions and listening patiently.
I would love a model porfolio for optimizing withdrawal rate... would give me an idea to give proportions to my value/small/all market/real estate/bonds porfolio.
I think they have said everything important. If you are that into it than I would recommend joining their community board. Awesome people there and they can't get enough of the whole factor tilt, regression analysis etc
Yes, trend following can be a sort of market timing, but good trendfolliwng systems are based on weekly or monthly signals, which reduces the number of errors on can make.
Hey, if you want to model your own lego stuff for the 3d printer with your kids you might want to look into getting a vr headset. There is a free software called medium by adobe that lets you sculpt 3d models like clay, its so simple that even children can make decent looking models without any prior experience.
The mouthpiece from the BoC segment runs from 8:08 to 22:25 if you want to skip.
Thanks Cookie! 🥴
the "First Podcast Ever". That only means one thing guys, you are on the right path !!!

Baby steps. We hope that we can build a relationship with the BoC and get some less scripted conversations in the future.

Kudos on th BOC and being the first! Perfect and Rational choice on their part.
Nothing related to finance or investing but I think Ben would TOTALLY rock a goatee
That AVUV mentioning alongside IJS sounds so casual, like AVUV is now officially approved by Ben Felix for DIY factor investing. Am I right?)

Hi,Ben.Could you make a RUclips video to explain Factor tilt. More detailed. I already have watched all of you video about Factor tilt.

This would blow the kids' minds. Thanks for the tip!
Wow the week flew by fast...
No kidding. Ben and I are acutely aware of how fast the weeks fly by!
You guys are legends. Glad I found you at 20. 🇨🇦 here as well
To reduce sequence of return risk, what difference would it make to have liquidity to wait 2 or 3 years before withdrawing during bear markets ?
You opened up a huge can of worms with trend setting talk. I'm hoping you address it again next week.
Spirit of the law? The guy that does AoE videos?
I was also wondering, he's also from Canada after all 11
And yes, I found his comment its really him
