I have this reel too it's an amazing reel for the price, I have the 4000 series version and 50 lb test braided line on it. and just a tip for the baitfeeder drag I recommend going 10% of your main line weight. but since the baitfeeder drag only goes up to 4.4 lbs I just crank it up all the way for my 50 lb test braided line and that seems to do the trick.
I have 3 of the 4000's. Within the last year, all 3 of the baitfeeder clickers have failed. I resorted to buying some bite alarms for them. Vesides that, they work ok.
@@unclejeffro besides that problem, they do work great. I didn't want to scrap the reels. That's why I bought some cheap alarms. Problem solved, for now
Heck of a reel. Wonder how it will. Last. I am and it doesn't take but a sec to sub. Also its nice to see someone else in the older class bracket on tube doing videos.👍😄
I have this same reel in 4000 series and to be honest, I really don't like it and prefer my Shimano Sahara 4000 over the Kastking any day.. First of all, it weighs as much as a boat anchor and has both a front and rear drag plus the lever in the rear and a anti reverse on the bottom, way to much to remember, set and screw with.. My Shimano 4000 weighs almost 30% less and has a small frame size and it cost less too and I have never had a problem with it not even with 25lb King Salmon on a full run in the current of a fast river...
Dont buy kastking reel. They are trash. For the first month or so it works great. After that horrible. They make you pay for shipping when it comes to warranty. I bought their sharky 3 and the kapstan elite. They both gave out after catching maybe 6 or 7 stripped bass. Dont fall for most of the youtube or other reviews, reviews authenticity is questionable.

I like it better than my bait casters

You are the second person who has told me this. I hope mine don't malfunction. I really like them

Had same problem with 3000's. Contacted Kast King, spoke to someone, found out what part broke, told person. Last I've heard from them.
We gonna see some public land deer hunting this year?
I don't even know where I'd go. I'm still waiting to see your hunts. Don't tell me u wasn't filming those
@@unclejeffro haha sad to say none on film.. but this year got a power pack for the go-pro so gonna make it happen.
