These German folk musicians--Hein and Oss Kroher--my Dad met and befriended wile he was living in Germany. Their friendship was still strong having been visited by them a number of times here in the United States while I was growing up and they corresponded with my Dad up until his death in 2011.
I have very fond memories of these fine musicians visiting our home in Charleston, West Virginia, USA in the late 70s and a correspondence between them and my father that lasted well over 4 decades, not to mention the stories my dad told about them at the dinner table.
Jeffrey Howard We have just arrived back home from our uncle in Pirmasens and while we were talking this afternoon they mentioned their dear neighbor and friend Oss Kroeher. I was curious to know more about this interesting man and started to search his persona via RUclips. He is still at good health. He's 92 years old. I'm happy to hear that your late father was able to build a lifelong friendship with his old German friends. Best wishes from Palatinate, Germany !
