Wow. Awesome. What a job you have done!
Thanks man!
Damn that bar is slick! Wow 🤩
Thanks!! 👍🍻
Cracking bar. Well done
Thanks man!! 👍🍻
Very nice setup, loved the bar. Wife told me, you would need a a urinal down there with your small bladder...🤣🤣🤣
Haha!! Does the sump pump count?? 👍🍻
wow...it's flippin awesome
Ha! Thanks! 👍🍻
Brian the work you have completed on the basement is awesome. It is really coming together now. I like that you have the CO2 lines run through the wall and bar and the tank will be in the next room. The glass rinser is pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing a brew soon also. Thanks for the update........Take care, Bluefin.
Thanks man!! I'm ready to brew about 6 batches.. Lol need to fill those kegs!! 👍🍻
Thanks for your inspiration to get me back into woodworking
Good to see you back Brian. The basement bar/brewery looks awesome! Well done sir
Thanks. It has really killed me not to be doing videos... But if I was doing that no construction was happenong.. Feels good to be almost done!! 👍🍻
Looks absolutely amazing. A touch of envy, your storage room is bigger than my brew shed. Now it is time for you to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
Almost there!! Finish line is in sight!! 👍🍻
Bloody fantastic work, Brian!
Thanks man!! It's coming along!! 👍🍻
I really am digging this set up. I have a small 50square foot area in my garage that I plan on building a small bar and trying to integrate my kegerator.
Do it!!
It's looking great Brian! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!! 👍🍻
Brian - looks great! Nice work! I really like the bar!
Thanks!!
Looks absolutely amazing! Homebrewer's dream.
Thanks Tim! 👍🍻
That looks amazing. Great job!
Thanks!! I'm pretty happy so far!!
Brian, that bar is gorgeous. Nicely done sir.
Thanks man!! 👍🍻
Very impressive Brian, Great job.
Thanks! 👍🍻
Brain, everything looks great, looking forward to more videos from the space. Love the cat getting into the video.
HAHA!! He was wondering what was doing.. Lol Cheers Kurt!! 👍🍻
Beautiful, Great work!
Thanks Christian!! Those tap handles look awesome!! 👍🍻
Looks dang good! And the diy lamp shades are awesome.
I am pretty proud of those! If. I had a pintrest account I would be posting them for sure!! Lol 👍🍻
.
Man that is absolutely amazing! Really like it. You've done a fantastic job
Thanks man!!
Awesome set up 👍 good to have more than one fridge, especially over the summer with hot weather 🌞. Fermintation fridge for consistent temperature. The old style lighting with the clear light bulbs are very fashionable in new homes and look really nice, they give off warm ambient light that are really easy on the eyes. I have a new home and LED lights are hard on the eyes 😳 . I have a few uplights on stands in the media room that are so much better on the eyes. I tend to leave the the LED down lights off. Looks a great place to spend time with friends and brewing.
Thanks! I really like those Edison bulbs too. Pretty cool they are making them led and dimmable. Hard to show on camera but they will dim down to just an ambient glow, which really give the space a really cool look. 👍🍻
The bar looks great Brian! Nice progress!
Thanks man... It has been a journey!
Props to you Brian, dream build!
Thanks man!! Too kind! 👍🍻
Great update! Love the new space Brian. That bar is awesome! It seems you've thought of everything in the design. A lot of planned storage and add-ons throughout. No wasted space! Cheers!
That was the goal.. The funny part is I have never had any "plans" Other than a general idea of what I wanted. The good part about that is it allowed flexibility to change things as I went along. I'm happy with it so far!!
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers You should be proud of this work. It's just absolutely amazing man. I'm jelly!
@@WreckedBrewery 👍🍻
Fantastic job in the basement bar! Like the idea on the CO2 line to the kegerators! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!! Definitely saves space that way! 👍🍻
The overhead exhaust hood is a great idea. I am planning something similar at the rear of the house, however I have a simple wall mounted exhaust fan in the design due to complications modifying the ceiling and roof (and budget of course).

Looks amazing!!!
Thanks Corey.. I can't wait to use it for game day!! 👍🍻
Looks incredible. I love following this build. Go Bucks!

Impressive carpentry, Brian. That’s a lot of work, and it’s looking awesome.
Ølsvingen Pico Brewery thanks man!! I do like woodwork as well as all the other stuff.. to many hobbies to little time! 👍🍻
Really nice work, you gave me some great ideas for finishing my own basement
Cool!! Glad to inspire!! Check out how I made the concrete countertops on my other channel.. ruclips.net/video/HkFqnn1V5nc/видео.html
Looks amazing! I wouldn’t use the rest of the house if I had that! Well done - top build.
Haha my wife already wants to change it to our master bedroom.. Lol I'm in!! 👍🍻
Oh man! This is the exact same setup I need in my basement when I get my clawhammer Supply 20-gallon kit in December. Looks awesome. Great work.
Thanks!! Be sure to check out the rest of the videos in the series for more info. 👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers , been following you for a while and haven't seen any new video so I figured you were working hard on the basement. Looks great and I can't wait for more videos and reviews
@@jd7ncoke77 yeah after I answered I thought I recognized your name.. Thanks for watching!! 👍🍻 more coming sooner than later! I hope.. 😜
Fantastic!
Thanks!! 👍🍻
Outstanding !! Love the 3 cornered miter...yes they’re a PITA but makes for a smooth line. Never saw a glass washer at home and planning it into the counter is superb, and the USB chargers were a great detail. I can see this plan did not occur one night on a napkin. I can see some modifications I need to make downstairs 😳. Based on your earlier email, I’m making the brew space 10x12... stop pushing me, man ( only kidding). Thank you for the great education!!!
Haha thanks. To be 100% honest I really had zero plans. I had an idea but knew I wanted some details in the basement build. The great thing about that was I could adjust the design "on the fly". The miter actually wasn't planned at all. After starting the bar top. I realized an 8' piece of the bar rail wouldn't make it all the way across the longest side. So I "cut a corner" lol 👍🍻
Really nice keep up the good job 👏🏻
👍🍻
A++++ WELL DONE!
Thanks man!!
The concrete tops look good. Nice man cave!
Thanks man! Lots of work but it's been worth it!! 👍🍻
Looks awesome Brian!! You been busy!!
Andrew you are NOT joking!! The finish line! Is in sight though!! 👍🍻
Wow! So neat! Great progress Brian! I whould love came by for a beer 🍺. Cheers 🍻
Thanks Jonas!! 👍🍻
Hello Brian, I am a recent subscriber and love your videos, a great help for a newbie just getting into brewing. Great job on the basement!
Thanks! 👍🍻
Wow, that's beautiful. What a great space for friends and family to hang out. I want one haha.
Thanks man! It has been a lot of work but worth it!
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers so this is kind of funny, a year later I came back to this video to see how you set up the kegerator with the bar. I didn't know I commented but me and my wife just bought a house with an unfinished basement, I'm pumped to finally get to make my dream basement a reality, so exciting! Definitely taking some inspiration from this video!
@@randomusername852 very nice!! Any questions hit me up!
Daaaim..! Looking good! One helluva job, Brian! Hope I'll get a chance to grab a beer at that bar one day :) Cheers!
Lol guarantee you I will!! Thanks Thomas!! 👍🍻
Amazing basement transformation. As a fellow Ohioian I love the Brutus/Block O decor. Go Bucks!
Thanks man!! O...H...
I-O
Wow just awesome.🍺
Thanks!! 👍🍻
Very awesome, brewery and bar set up. Wish I had basement to do the same thing. I am thinking about converting part of my back barn into a brewery. I may just buy or build a brew shed / bar / office set up. Thanks again your videos are great.
Thanks Brian!! 👍🍻
WOW great job Brian . The best part in my opinion is the block O and brutus.....expecting a good game saturday night GO BUCKS !!!
Hell yeah!! Go bucks!! Cheers! 👍🍻
Wow! We need details on that overhead fan! We are getting my basement ready for the 20 gallon system and we are gonna need something to get the steam out. Looking good!
Coming soon!!
Love your content, from one Short to another. Just getting back into brewing and built my own eBIAB setup. 4K ouch. Keep it up!
Nice!! Thanks for watching! Love to see your rig and share with our followers! Shoot me some pics Brian@shortcircuitedbrewers.com 👍🍻
Looks great mate, well done. I must say the only thing I'd do different is build it above ground with a few windows to let a little sunshine in, because your going to turn into one of those albino mutants in the sci-fi movies because you never come up out of the joint :-0 lol. A few things you haven't mentioned installing yet is a spittoon or two, a pickled egg jar, & hot dog dispenser :-0 Love it!
Hahaha!! I was teasing Kelly about pickled eggs the other day.. 👍🍻
Love the bar Brian! Looks like my bar that we do most of our reviews on...just love the natural oak look. Just an amazing job. When can Andy and I come over for a pint or two? lol Cheers buddy!
Soon brother.. At least I hope. 👍🍻
WOW! you've been BUSY! Looking sharp as a tack, Brian! You need a 75" tv on that wall and you're ready for fall ball!
Thanks man!! 👍🍻
Why are you so dang good at everything?
Haha! Solid upbringing!! 👍🍻
Looks awesome Brian! The ONE thing I would add to the bar is a foot rail.
Zach Grieger Did you miss that in the video? One of the things I said I have left to do. Making it out of black pipe too👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers Oh crap, totally missed that. I recant my statement.
@@Potluck_Brewing lol it's ok..
Holy shit Brian that entire space is incredible! Cant beleive you poured those countertops and made those cabinets. Insane! Hope to have my basement brewery even remotely close to how nice yours looks!
Thanks man!! It has been my biggest project of my life. I'm happy with it so far! Any questions feel free to ask.. 👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers sweet! What limits me now is unfortunately $$$. Had a double hernia repair and a benign tumor removed this year, so paying those bills first before the brewery. I should def have more brews for the winter though.
One question, did you run hot water to your sink too? Or just a cold line and a small 2 gal on demand electric hot water tank?
@@Bassguitarist1985 I ran hot water to both sinks in the space.. The line for the hot water is directly overhead from the back bar sink. 👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers nice! Did you use pex or copper?
@@Bassguitarist1985 PVC but used a shark bite style adapter to go from the existing copper to PVC.
Who in the hell is giving this a thumbs down?!... Great video! Keep up the good work!
Haha.. What thumb down?? Lol I don't even pay attention to them. Thanks Billy!! 👍🍻
And it has disappeared?!! Awesome!
Looks awesome! Do you have a video of you building the bar? There was a little teaser during this. I would love to watch start to finish.
I don't unfortunately. I was trying to make progress as quickly as possible and did not get much filmed.
Game machine? You getting video poker? That is really looking great. You’re killing it!
Haha no it is a MAME cabinet I built myself. Has close to 1000 games on it. Thanks Larry! I'm trying!! 👍🍻
Short Circuited Brewers Awesome. I’ve been using MAME since the mid 90’s but on a PC. Not a dedicated box. Cool.
@@BEERNBBQBYLARRY cool that is what's in the box.. A PC 👍🍻
Wow!!!! Sexy Bar! When's the party 😉 love the glass washer and the gloss finish on the bar Wow! Loved your store room and you have a great space to work.... am 😭 now my build looks so poor....😲 all the best and Mash On!!
Haha thanks! Hope use it very soon!! 👍🍻
Hi Brian, I just came across your channel and I am enjoying your videos. Do you have videos of your bar build? I am re doing mine and this is exactly what I’m looking for! Thank you!
If you mean the actual bar itself I don't have a specific video on it it was a weird time and I was trying to get a bunch done so I didn't feel much. Besides that fact that a bar is pretty much custom-made in the space that you build it in. I will tell you that I used 2x4s for the frame and the top is a layer of 3/4 in plywood and then another layer of oak plywood on top of that staggered so that the bar rail sits on it. All of the facing of the bar is 3/4 in oak plywood as well. I didn't have any plans for it or anything like that I just kind of built it as I went. The best place to get the bar rail like I bought is from Home Depot you have to order it in but they do have it and it's not too expensive if you're interested in that. Also look up bar dimensions that will give you the recommended heights for the back bar as well as the bar top height.
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers Thank you very much for the info, I appreciate it! One last question, did you do epoxy on the bar top?
@@walters7523 yes I did!
That is amazing. What is the stain you used and what give the gloss finish?
I used jacobian for the stain and famowood 2 part epoxy for the top coat. Pretty sure it's linked in the description. Oh and THANKS!! 👍🍻
Amazing bar, you did a fantastic work with all the wood and paint. Wish I can do something similar one of this days lol. How did you convinced your wife? That’s the hard part.
She wanted to move here and she knew I would want a brewery and I've always wanted a bar.. She told me "it's your space".. Lol she's a KEEPER!! (And she loves beer!! + +)
What are you going to do with your free time now that everything it about done. Love the build. Epic parties to come. Cheers brian.
What is this free time you speak of?? Is there a translation from the language you are speaking?? Hahaha!! 👍🍻
Looks great! How did you apply the epoxy to the bar rail?
Just used a foam brush to apply it. It's really thick. 🍻👍
Where's the video on the concrete counter tops? Did you epoxy them as well?
Yes it is on my other channel
ruclips.net/video/HkFqnn1V5nc/видео.html
Brian, that is totally rad!! That’s a ton of work but what a set up when it’s finished. Props for your vision. On a side note, you said wicked awesome but then I believe I saw a buckeye mascot. Which is it, New England or Ohio??? Maybe you picked up the wicked awesome at hbc this summer. Good stuff.
Lol Ohio.. Didn't know "wicked awesome" Was a New England thing?
Yeah, the wicked thing is totally New England. I’ve been here for 16 years now but originally from western pa. Lived in Wooster Ohio for several years before coming east. Tough for me with the Buckeyes, I am penn state and sister went to u of m. I won’t hold it against you though lol.
@@scottbenson4818 haha cheers Scott!! 👍🍻
OK my bar is done it's complete it looks good everybody's freaking out once again thank you. I have a question this is my fault I use an oil base polyurethane stain. I want to Epoxy the top. I don't know if it's goingna stick to the stain any ideas?
Nice!! I would reach out to the coating manufacturer. You don't want a bunch of hard work to fail.
Were you working from a set of plans for the L-Shape bar?
No just designed as I went. I knew I wanted about 8 feet per side. But other than that no drawn up plans. Which can be problematic.. One example is that when i installed the bar rail I realized that an 8 foot piece was not long enough. It is now a design element but the 45 degree angle on the corner was a necessity to have enough bar rail.. Lol I'm actually happy that I had to do it because I like the extra room and look of it.
What brand of SS sink and work table are you using? Great setup!
They are from restaurant equippers in Columbus.
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers Thanks, do you know the brand. I have looked at several and many are thin SS.
Hey did you ever do a review on those inline regulators?
It's coming shortly.. I have part of the review done..
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers You're the man! I am very interested in them. I have a few and they weren't working correctly but I think I found out the issue (the tubing that came with my keg fridge wasn't working correctly).
Would it be possible to provide a general layout of your bar. I am putting one in my basement and have been looking at plans but your layout is identical to what I was looking for with the bar
Top to the second level underneath.
Shoot me an email at shortcircuitedbrewers@gmail.com so I can give you then info.
Finally getting back into home brewing and going electric myself. I have zero headroom for an exhaust hood so I'm going to have to go with a steam condenser of some sort. At 4:50 it looks like you have a conical cover with a view port and tri clamp for either a kettle or a fermenter. Is that custom fabricated or did you find that somewhere? Could be exactly what I need to direct the steam into the condenser! Great job by the way!
That is from the brewtools company. For the B80. What type of system are you looking at?
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers That's the big question! None of the turnkey options tick each checkbox. I'm leaning towards the Blichmann 10 Gallon HERMS Pro Pilot as I am limited to two 30 amp circuits. Stout Tanks also has a few interesting options however it is more piecemeal. Would love and welcome any feedback based off of your experiences.
@@jamesskladnowski6193 sounds like you're interested in a 3 vessel system. The pro pilot system has 2 brew commanders for control. I have a video on that controller. Of your curious what that is about.
ruclips.net/video/R9NsgkTXRds/видео.html
I have a 3 vessel system with a diy controller and blichmann kettles.
Looks good bud. Can't wait to get my invite to the Grand Opening. LOL Are you taking orders and dimensions for bar orders yet?
Heck no, they can build their own bar!! I'm not doing another one! I increased my insurance if anything happens I won't be redoing it! Haha 👍🍻
