UPDATE: made it through half the album every riff every song sounds the same and it's all stuff that's been done before hundreds of times. Unfortunately very boring. Oh well. I'll stick to A Wake in Providence, Vildhjarta, Signs of the Swarm instead.

Undoubtedly the best record since Surpassing. I like how the new album isn't afraid to step out of the norm. I hear many different influences and experimentation going on here but still crushes.
Upon first listens I loved Architect of Extinction more but as I listen to this album more and more, While AOE is super catchy and heavy, TLAH takes that up a few notches. Ingested have managed to out do themselves which I honestly thought was impossible after AOE

I totally respect that music taste is subjective. My personal favorite was surpassing the boundaries. This album still burns but i prefer surpassing. This album has a slightly higher spinkling of deathcore imo. Still a great album though. No matter how hard i try i cant seem to get into deathcore very much. Angelmaker are clearly very talented but it just doesn't resonate with me. And that's the beauty of music hey.....something for everyone ☺

Definitely gone a new route since Surpassing. I thought this album was gonna suck cuz Architect kinda did, but it's pretty damn sick. Not slam but like, more like straight death metal/deathcore better than 98% of Deathcore right now
Yeah its definetly a mashup of styles, they fucking killed it on this album. I think its more death metal than anything though. Theres breakdowns here and there from deathcore but its definetly more Suffocation like than anything else.
I have to say these guy's have added something to this genre that has been missing ??? " Consistency" because they produce some of the best riffs I have been lucky enough to come across, I have yet to hear any 1 song that wasn't good!!! I just recently discovered this band and man am I happy because they have taken over the part of my brain that now whenever I try listening to anything else it's just not the same ??? Lol , and I'm not even joking. These guy's fart cannibal corpse out and excuse themselves from the table lol.
I know peoples voices change after doing this for years but this album IN MY OPINION is more deathcore which I'm not saying is bad because it still sounds monstrous
When "Invidious" and "Purveyors of Truth" were released, I was like "meh, Ingested went full core now". And then this came out. They're still slammin the shit out of it. Fucking intense.

Dying Fetus should have a genre all on their own their that good. Most modern slam can thank them for laying the foundations. Its a shame most of these death core teens haven't heard of them.
