Looks like the levee and the overflow pipe are in place . Now it’s time to get some water in this pond for the crawfish and the ducks! And like usual, nothing comes easy.
Hoping you have great success with your crawdad pond. I have never ate crawdads . Does the taste resemble the taste of shrimp or lobster even though they don't reside in salt water or do they taste like fish? Video was interesting. Thanks for sharing.🙂
They have a flavor unique to themselves. Texture is similar to a small lobster. Normally we boil them with heavy amount of seasoning, but there are some recipes to utilize the tail meat in ways other than the traditional “crawfish boil”.
Thank you for responding to my question. I have also seen many recipes that have sparked my interest ...now that you explained the taste if I get the chance to try a crawdad I certainly will . Thank you.
@@grtgma4169 my favorite way to eat them is the traditional “crawfish boil”. And we like to boil them ourselves, so it’s normally a good size outdoor social event with friends and family.
Great job 👍
Thanks!
Yay for flowing water!
It took some effort but we finally got there!
