    What causes the rear end to raise up on the pro mod style cars? Is it just the tire expanding or does it have something to do with the suspension?

      All radial tired cars use controlled extension of the rear struts to push the tires into the track to get traction. Cars with slicks generally use rear squat to plant the tires. I think the rear end lift is just more noticeable on the RVW cars. Watch the smaller tires radial cars closely and you will also see the rear end raise up in the first 60’.

      @@danmyers9372 these cars are insane. I haven’t watched any radial racing recently. I remember when everyone was chasing the first 4 second pass. With all this new technology it looks like that wouldn’t even get you in the field now.

      It's the suspension. It's what's called "bite" and is caused by the instant center being further back. The center section gets separation from the chassis, pushing the back tires into the ground for extra bite

      It’s called anti squat. And it’s exactly what it sounds like. When you change the bar angle it can either make the car squat, not move at all, or actually lift/separate. 100% anti squat the rear end never really moves. The higher % of anti squat the more aggressive and higher it lifts

      @Frank Bullitt not true. You must not be a racer. You may not get the level of prep of a duck race but most grudge events prep the tracks very well. You can test at one of those see or the many radial tire events across the country. RvW guys have the resources to travel and test at well prepared tracks. More so than average guys. I'm not listening to the whoa is me crap of guys racing $400,000 cars.

      @@bbking7800 And you obviously dont understand the difference between slick and radial prep. AND the amount of radial prep required for these cars that your podunk local track will never do. List off the places these cars run 3's at on radials, I'll wait.

      Well there certainly is WAY less downtime watching tractors go up and down the track at NPK. Or watch the majority of radial cars strike the tires when the track gets hot. Radial cars definitely have a narrower window when it come to the track surface. But both styles of racing are cool.

    The race was way better when the top of the field didn’t consist of pro-mods
