Rolf Urban, the son of Adolf Urban is a good friend of mine and he told me the story of his Father, who was killed in Russia in the last war. He was a famous footballer who played for Shalke and Germany and also played in the 1936 Olympics.
When he told me they had brought his remains to Shalke , and the authorities had been trying to trace him so that he could attend his dads funeral. But as he was brought up in the UK and now lives here in Spain, they were unable to trace him in time, so he missed the ceremony, but he has been in contact with the people who organized his dads return and I believe they are arranging for him to visit his fathers grave
After he rang me this morning with the news and seeing this short clip on you tube it brought a few tears to my eyes , I'm no lover of football but after hearing the tales about his dad I feel as though I knew him
    It's a funny old world ain't it
