Some people pair scoring with what's called “slick”, slick acts as glue. In the vid she just used water. Slik is a paste like mixture of clay and water.
How do you get a flat base on the pot? Also what material is best to make anything on as i tried using baking paper or a plastic tray and my clay just stuck or smooshed and was way to floppy?
Also how long do you let the clay dry before using it as I don't want the clay over dry but straight out of the packet is a lot wetter than in this video?
You can cut off a small sliver off the bottom for a clean edge. As for what to work on, I have found that a smooth or plastic table works, the ones you might find in a classroom. As long as your surface is dry on that, it shouldn’t stick, unless it is too moist. (If that happens, I will usually either throw it for a while, or knead it over a paper towel.) For the drying... I have no idea. I’d guess that you should give it 24 hours
Thank you! This helped a lot ❤😊
Yay this was very fun
Love it! :)
This video is so helpful! Thank you!! What is the reason for scoring before putting the feet on? I'm curious
Scoring allows the two pieces to better merge together (sort of like stitches )

Nice work 👍🏻,pl tell me which clay you have used to make this pot?
Thanks Bhavna! We use our own air-dry clay which you can see here: sculpd.com/
Is that... Barbara Maitland?
Where are the jugs?
