Until about 2005 I did recognize (almost) all movies, later I do know less than I don't. "Groundhog day" is one of my all-time favorites (besides "Into the night" with Michelle Pfeiffer and Jeff Goldblum), as well as "The tall guy". I also missed "Blues Brothers" 😎😎
Fun quiz but there was definitely a year when I stopped knowing any of the movies, well, maybe one or two. I haven't been to a movie since Memoirs of a Geisha. Slightly behind the times 😮😊
@@nadiaddis1145 Cancel whatever you're doing tonight and watch _Raiders_ . The sequels were meh (Connery notwithstanding) but _Raiders_ was Spielberg and Lucas at their peak. 1000% recommend. 🙂🙂🙂
Got 5 wrong. More if you count the ones that I remembered the title wrong for. Started happening when we got to the 2010’s. Think I got all the 80’s ones. Even Bladerunner. Guess the blade was shiny enough this time so I could see it come running. Usually get Bladerunner wrong. Nice concept with one movie per year. Really like that.
Up to 2010, I got all but 1 1/2. I'll give myself partial credit for Rambo - I didn't know which film in the series. I missed 4 in the last 15 years. I guessed the right Harry Potter based on the ages of the leads. MCU films could have been tougher.
I thought Soul was not released in cinemas in 2020, but in 2024. It went to streaming first, didn't it? Also, I thought it Godfather 2 was 1974, and Sting 1973
I made the same mistake. Both movies are from 1970, so not too far off. Also, they didn't show Patton, so I just thought of a war movie from then. I also missed the animated ones because I don't watch that kind of crap; and the most recent ones because I haven't had a chance to catch those yet.
52 out of 54, and only two of them I've never seen; 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'Gran Turismo'. (I got Gran Turismo right though, but couldn't remember the name of 'Unchartered' until it was too late).
I was pretty sure getting them all would be fairly easy, so I started by guessing which films you were going to select. Got them all and "pre-guessed" 8 correctly, but none after 1995. Since I also pre-guessed "The Sting" for 1973, technically I did nine correctly... Thanks for the trivia.
50 out of 53... I didn't know the first one (Patton) and thought, well, this is going to be a disaster. But then I got Top Gun mixed up and I hadn't seen Gran Tursimo either.

Also, just saying Harry Potter is close enough, I didn't have to name one of the 37 movies specifically to get a "W" on that one. :P

Why would you show Karl Malden in the picture for Patton, he didn't even play the lead! It should've been George C. Scott at least that would've been accurate
Not sure if that would have helped me. Haven’t seen Patton. Karl Malden I’m a bit familiar with though. Would you have gotten On the water front correct if you saw him instead of Brando? I might… but I could just as easily gotten it wrong though
@@kristentaylor5359 Nope. Showing side characters is more tricky. But quizzes should be a bit tricky. You get more satisfaction out of recognizing the movie because of the side-characters than the main.
I got about 20-something, but after 2001, I lost interest in the rubbish being released. Surprised to see Bladerunner was released in 1982. We went to the cinema to watch that. Anyhoo ...
Apparently I stopped watching movies around 2010! 😂

Notice that starting in the 2000s, they had to start using kids' movies.
Ditto
Ditto also.
I thought The Sting came out in '73.
It did. Yes 73.
The Sting was released in 1973. It won a Best Picture Oscar over The Exorcist.
Thank you for catching that error. I had it as 1973 originally, but I'm not sure why I changed it.
1968 oscar for best make up....planet of the apes as 2001 used real apes (SMH)
It was released in uk in 1974

There were some movies with female leads during that time, I believe.
They seem to be less memorable the closer to the present they become.
I missed 5 of them...Good quiz though!
I was doing fine until 2017. Not only did I not know the names, I didn't know the movies.
Quite Action Movie dominated. It would be more interesting if the genres are more mixed.
I did fine until 2005. Only got 3 right after that.
Loved the 'instant regret fails' clip! Thank you!
For The Sting all I could think about was Ragtime. My brain knew it but didn't want to help me😂

Got 43 and didn't miss one until 2002.
Cool!
I missed like 3 in the 70’s and then the final one from 2023.
Got a favorite movie?
Everything apart from Patton and Goblet of Fire (guessed the wrong Harry Potter movie).
I feel you, man!! I guessed Temple of Doom when they showed the first Indiana Jones still. Yet SOMEHOW, I guessed correctly on Patton.
53/54. Couldn't have gotten Uncharted with a thousand guesses.
I only got it cuz I played the game. Born in '70. 🤘
I missed the first Indiana Jones. I said Temple of Doom, because that's what I remember seeing.

All right 100% yea Sting was released in 1973, Godfather 2 was 1974.
Got everything except Shape of Water, which looked like a _Creature from the Black Lagoon_ remake.

It's a strange movie, but I really enjoyed it.
