Hey Stephanie!!! I hope you are enjoying your new position. I know when you first met me you said I didn't really need you, but I miss talking to you. Take care, and I hope to see you sometime when you are possibly passing through the Transplant Center. By the way, since my new kidneys woke up, they have been working overtime. My GFR was 98 several months, and the lowest it's been is 77. The last results I saw on November 9th said 87. I am BLESSED 🙏♥

This diet is inherently calorie restrictive.
What you will develop as time progresses is Dyslipedmia/hyperlipidemia, it goes by many names. This is a "side effect" of Tacrolimus, but youre on other steroids long term too, such as Prednisone and Mycophenalate. Those of which raise inconsistent metabolism of foods in general.
Washing vegetables and not eating raw seafood are very minor things which will not have substantial affect on the kidney. Your SOURCE of any foods is most important.
There is the fact all fresh vegetables need washing in white vinegar to do the best job of purging them of contaminants. This is what everyone should be doing, not just those with a kidney transplant.
You will not maintain good blood sugar levels on the medications unless you follow a strict no sugar diet.
Post transplant the MEDICATIONS are responsible for the problems.
Other things theyll try to put you on are blood pressure tablets and insulin or blood sugar controlling medications. This is all part of the regime to control levels caused by your current medications.
