Your videos are so beautifully done, the atmosphere is so special. Congratulations to you 3 on the approach of a new baby. I really loved the way the onion skins and logwood take to the soymilk, the colours are so soft. The rainbow onesie is my favourite but your cushion fabric really turned-out beautifully too! You look wonderful in your ZW dress, I think it’s just too voluminous a design for my small frame though which is a bummer. The dress looks fantastic on you (love the colour too). Take care, I hope the worst of the nausea is over for you.
Oh thank you ☺️ I love my dress too... it could easily be made a little less voluminous if you desired. Feels good to be back and the rainbow one is my fave too .... which is funny as I had the least hopes for it 🤷🏽♀️
That's awesome 😍👍, and congrats to the baby that is coming ❤️😊 and I saw the h&m video and so strong of you ❤️👍 you go girl and stay on the path of BillyNoel, can say that you were one of all that people out there that inspired me to eco dyeing maby a year ago or more ❤️🤗 it's like magic every single time. Thank you for sharing and stay safe 🥰 byebyeeee from Sweden 🇸🇪🙋♀️❤️
Hope n wish ur baby n u are hale n hearty dear.. had one question… mordanting wid alum works only for natural dyeing..eg onion or etc skin? Or any chemical dye too? Pl do reply
Hallo . Thank you . Really like the concept . I had a question , I have used soya milk as mordant now can I use alum acetate too to shift colour over soya milk. Or should it be alum acetate first . Also should we dry them in , under some shade or directly under the sun directly
Hello... so I would normally use alum acetate first ... that would be my preference as alum acetate is a mordant and chemically binds to to fibers where as soy milk is a binder and just coats the fibers but you could alsways try, you would still get results. Best to dry out of direct sunlight as sunlight can affect the colour fastness and bleach the colours 😊
Hi Billy, I've just discovered your beautiful channel. I'm going to try this with my 4 year old daughter today 💚 Could you tell me where I can beautiful simple vest tops like I see you wearing in a couple of your videos pls?!
Hey! Excellent..... so much fun to do with the little ones!! I think you mean my knitted crop top? My friend Miriam Griffiths knits made this too.... I’m not sure if she is still selling them at the moment but worth checking her out 😊
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but do the natural dyes run out of clothes when washing them? Or do they transfer at all? Is there a special washing method that differs from normal care instructions?
Hello ... so there’s so many factors involved in how long the colours “last”, fabric choice, mordant choice, fabric preparation, dye used etc etc but in general if you treat your naturally dyed fabrics gently, washing with cool water and ph neutral soap, the colours stand up pretty well. And it’s also nice to try and adjust your mindset a little... enjoying the fact that colours and tones can change over time because the colours are ALIVE. 🥰🥰
You could try any milk which is high in protein.... there are also other ways of painting patterns like using iron water to shift the colours or maybe even a tannin solution. Lots to experiment with 😊
Morning sickness is a magnesium deficiency. Love your video
Literally my favorite channel on RUclips

I just love your videos. Congratulations on the pregnancy!
Thank you so much 😁
I think stencil would give a nice balance between structured and bespoke
Yessss i agrée 💗
I have powdered soy milk I'm gonna try, this is such a great technique! 💜
Yay I hope you get some cool results
BillyNou, you can prevent the gum arabic from lumping by adding it first to a very small amount of glycerol. No lumps! Then add to the soy milk x
Amazing! Thank you l, I didn’t know this ☺️
congrats to the newbaby love you both
Thank you 🧡
Your kitchen is amazing, what country are you in? Do you have a home tour video?
Aw thank you! No we don’t but have been asked a few times 😆 we moved in a couple of years ago and it’s still not finished 😅

I love this!! So happy you’re enjoying your natural dyeing 😆
I love the colour of your beautiful dress! Please could you tell me if you dyed the fabric and what you used. Thank you 😊
Thank you! I didn’t dye this fabric, it’s not natural sadly but I did make it 😉
Wow nice video !! Good to see you back and congratulations on the bebe !!
Thank you 😊
You mentioned heat setting the cloth, what does that mean? So excited to see you dyeing again!
Just a nice hot steam iron
Take care. You look very well.🌿
Thanks 😊

Brilliant outcome! What is heat setting ...can you explain?
It’s just a nice hot steam iron to make sure the colours are nice and cozy in the fibers
oh yay!
😊
Love your videos! What’s your dress dyed with? Love the orange!
Ah I love it too.... this fabric was a gift and not naturally dyed though ☺️
Hi Billy, the colour of the denim came out really beautifully! Did you use yellow and red onion skins together?
Just yellow skins for this colour! It did didn’t it... I LOVED these results so much
Hi BillyNuo what spray was that and what is it for?
Congratulations for good news..
Thank you 🥰

For those allergic to soy or against soy due to Monsanto gmo frankensoy, what is the best natural alternative for the "paint"?
You could try any milk which is high in protein.... there are also other ways of painting patterns like using iron water to shift the colours or maybe even a tannin solution. Lots to experiment with 😊
@@billynou Thank you!
When you say that the fabrics have been pretreated with soy do you just mean they've been soaking in the solution? How long for please? Bx
Yes... soaked in soy milk from anywhere from and hour to 24 hours.... I have a video on soy milk you might find helpful
X
Almost like invisible writing, only revealed once its dyed. Congrats on the baby-to-be!
Exactly! So fun
psyllium husk would probably work as a thickener for soy
Maybe but in my experience psyllium husks tend to leave little lumps 🤔 maybe if they were ground up extra-fine
@@billynou Yes I can imagine the sticky lumps. I'll have to try see if it will wash off.
Can we do it using normal milk. Will it work?
You can try! I’ve never done it but apparently it does work
@@billynou Sure. Will give it a try. Thanks.
Can I do it on Silk...
Yes! 🧡
Where do you get your soy beans?
Hello … I just get them from the local whole food shop 🤎
Love you dood. Call us!
Love yoo tooo!!!!💕💕💕
