Thanks so much for this easy to understand commentary and watching it step by step as I’m a female who desperately needed to change my headlight without paying someone else for something I was able to do thanks to you. Made me feel very accomplished. 👍
This made it seem far less daunting. Took me 10 mins if that! Thank you so much; had been meaning to put on stronger headlight bulbs those halogen ones make me feel blind 😅
Trued to do this yesterday after work before it rained and didn't get anywhere, the back didn't look like it came off and I only saw the bottom cover, no chance I could do it that way with the tools I had, I'll try this after work today, thank you
I want to find the engineer who decided that you need to take out the entire headlight assembly to replace a light bulb, and kick them square in the nuts.
I agree with the 2 replies already ....... but it was not long ago , think it was a Ford Focus , u had to jack it up remove the wheel , remove the plastic wheel arch liner to get to the rear of the headlight , think Ford gave 2 hours @ £ mega to change a bulb ..... nuts !!
Wait until you have to change the front turn signal bulbs, a bigger cunt of a job there is not, pretty much the Krauts getting back at us (2010 WS series cars were built in Germany).
Hi. How does the plastic fastener exactly work? I recently bought this kind of fiesta, and i had to replace the lowbeams just now. The screws were no issue, but i can't figure out how to remove the plastic fastener/clip at the inboard end and i don't want to break it. The manual only mentions screws, and it also does not mention you need to lower the bumper. I did manage to change the bulbs though, if you remove the screws you can force the aft end upwards just enough to have room to change the bulb
Very informative. I managed to do this without help except for the information on this video. Previously I'd have got one of my sons to do it! Thanks. It works!
I’m scared to do this lol. Btw I need to remove my drivers seat to clip the bar that u pull to move the seat back and forth back on the pins. How easy is this task lol
In my frustration I've been using two flatheads together and applying quite a strong force as am a big guy but no budge, some minor shaving of the bolt and I'm scared of ruining it completely. I feel like sawing through the plastic bracket it's attached to I'm so annoyed
When I replaced my bulbs using this method I found that they had become crazy dipped down - literally pointing around a meter away from the front. Both sides too. Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm having some head scratching over what bulb I get. My model is 58 plate fiesta. Some say it's a h4 bulb for dipped headlight. Others say it's a h7 I need. Anyone know which one I need?
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage thanks for replying. It's just that the main beam bulb looks different than my dipped headlight bulb. That one showing looks like my main beam bulb. My dipped headlight has gone.

Saved me £8 having Halfords fix it for me!
Good video 👍🏻

Thanks for the kind words

10/10 for the tutorial there much appreciated, dead easy to do when someone shows you how!
Thanks for showing AND explaining about the locating clip beneath the headlamp unit. Ford manual does not mention this!

My thoughts exactly
100% this... Should be such a simple task

modern cars , so you always pay for any form of maintenance, scam

Probably the best tutorial on RUclips, on any subject.

Just some info for people with 15 plate fiestas, there are 3 small prongs you just need to manipulate to enable the bulb to be removed.
One of the best bulb change videos out there. Thanks.
Thank you
Definitely makes my top 10
Watched this, Apply this, Easy and Helpful. Thanks man! Just need to search directly for the unplugging of the socket, but overall, great!

Genau so ist es, manche vergessen den kleinen Kunststoffstopfen vorne zu entfernen, so dass man die Vergleitung etwas nach vorne ziehen kann...
Appreciate you putting this up.
I broke the white clip @ 1:18. Is there a part number or any way I can get a replacement part?
A really good video with great instructions thanks for that.
I can't unscrew one of the bolts despite them being the same weird flathead / phillips combo thing
Can you please show a video of how to change the indicator bulb please
I am struggling to disconnect the plug that connects the electrics to the unit - any advice would be appeciated
@45 seconds. is this a plastic clip that will be broken in taking it off?
Thanks, great help in working out how to change the bulb.
Thanks Sarah
Confirming - Dipped beam is H7? What bulb is used for the high beam?
Thanks for helping me out 👍
That convenient jump cut though!!
Thank you for doing this video !!!! Made my job very easy today!!!!👏👏👏👏...I really appreciate it 🤝🤝🤝🤝
Now I just need a how-to on the turn signal bulb that's in the same headlight assembly as the bulbs you just changed.
Thanks very much. Another job I can do myself and not have to pay someone else to do!
Cheers Robert

Could you inform people how to replace the indicator bulb from the same unit . Thanks
Great. I broke the whole F-ing headlight assembly when I pushed it back in. Broke the gd rear clip off.
Ohhh that sounds expensive .........

Standard flathead screwdriver worked fine for me on my 2010 Fiesta.

Nice one
Thank you. Ford manual that comes with the car is not much help! (I'm sure the team that write the manual never get to change a bulb!)
I can't unscrew one of the bolts despite them being the same weird flathead / phillips combo thing

Barry Britcher flat head screw driver
Nice, thx
Thanks
When I replaced my bulbs using this method I found that they had become crazy dipped down - literally pointing around a meter away from the front. Both sides too. Has this happened to anyone else?
Anyone got any idea what kind of a screwdriver I need for this? My interchangeable kit doesn't have a star and flat head mix
Cheers man 👍🏻
Thanks Zander
Thank you so much
No problem Simeon. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
i had Lada , takes 5 seconds to change the bulb
you saved me $90
Glad I could help.
Cheers mate..
No problem
Took specs...?
You didn't show the only thing I need to see: HOW I REMOVE THE BULB FROM THE HOLDER?
Why can i never resecurw the bulb
I'm having some head scratching over what bulb I get. My model is 58 plate fiesta. Some say it's a h4 bulb for dipped headlight. Others say it's a h7 I need. Anyone know which one I need?
Your answer is @ 2:32 if it is the same as the headlamp I am showing.
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage thanks for replying. It's just that the main beam bulb looks different than my dipped headlight bulb. That one showing looks like my main beam bulb. My dipped headlight has gone.
If you are in any doubt just take it out, its a very simple job and there will be no confusion then.
Thanks...
Your welcome way lander
Why the hell did they make it so awkward to change a bulb?!
