If i didn't already have this pedal I'd definitely end up buying it from watching this video....came to get ideas for settings and ended up staying for the playing ....great job sir !!

Oh man, what a great pedal, so glad you checked out the video! Check out like 08:55 or so when I dial in The Edge-style tones - and of course for the purists out there I don’t mean this is literally what he used. I just mean that it took me to that place creatively :)
Boss still has some of the best and most versatile products in the world. I’ve never been disappointed. That is all so lovely sounding. I can vouch for his fandom because he is definitely responsible for my Radiohead introduction that turned into an obsession.

You can use either twist or tap tempo by holding down the main switch. You get to choose which one to use using a special set up process. You need to read the manual. If you decide to use twist, you can still set tap tempo through the expression jack I believe. There’s also a special process when you plug in the power of the pedal to turn the preamp on. It is off by default. All this is in the manual
Edge of Breakup is right, if you read the manual, you hold the switch whilst off and upon inserting the input jack, you can adjust the echo knob to determine if preamp is on or off.
