Just a tip. When I have to mix lots of inputs, I use 2 iPads. I have the first 8 channels showing on one and the second 8 showing on the other. It makes it a lot easier to see what's going on and saves having to constantly swipe left and right to find the fader you're looking for. You're welcome :)
I really love the idea of the DL1608. But I miss some things: I would love to have the 48v Phantom power to be switched on for each channel individually. I would love to have pre and post for each channel. There is space for it. Where is the midi in/thru/out? And remember, in the EQ section you can draw a curve with your fingres and the knobs will follow that curve.
My question is, can you still use and record to garage band or other studio apps while using the Mackie mixer app simultaneously? That is extremely important if you wanted to use this for studio purposes.
I don't have mackie dl1608 ...I think that the I pad should come with it down loaded with program and be ready to start show.... I have went to a music store that is mackie dealer ... And don't don't have any in stock... The didn't answer any questions.. all said was we can order you one come to your home... I just don't understand...why don't want stock them...

Darren Turner does it work only on iPad and not on android devices?

does the 30 pin to 8 pin adapter have to support for the audio? Because if I look them up, usually they don't support for the audio...

shary mail bring up the iPad fader, go back to the record page. Select the file you want to play and hit play. You should hear the sound.
