I owned a 66 1/2 ton with that transmission, loved it. But after 10 years I decided to restore my dad's 68 1/2 ton, C6 transmission and sold the 66. That was in the 80's. The 68 still runs great runs great. I did rebuilt the engine again in the late 90's Same everything except I replaced the block for a 390. It was a 360. It has over 500,000 miles on it, the transmission only rebuilt once. Both great trucks. The thing I do miss on the 66 was the sounds with transmission, specially in Granny gear.
thats cool, yeah the old stuff will run forever if you took care of it. wish i never sold it. i have an 84 K20 4x4 with the same trans, i still use granny gear, feels like drivin a big rig
@@Weldingprobably it was smoking a bit i found a loose head bolt and retorquted the heads from previous gasket job, but who knows what yours is like, i put headers on but sometimes it aint worth it cuz the studs break, also a/t tires look cool but id put steer tires on the front cuz otherwise they wander and shops dont do king pins anymore
I forget shes originally white. I bought this truck from you. I sold it a couple years ago after I blew the engine up but I just bought it back and plan on putting another engine in it. I have made a lot of memories in this old girl and I am very happy that I bought her from you a few years ago.
Hey bro, check out this other '69 Ford... He makes a great point too, that they don't make them like they use too.... ruclips.net/video/gm47Fi7UY6I/видео.html
@@krisjackson1254 thats a hell of a trip, almost all 8 lugs are the same pattern, ford changed in like 99 or so and some dodges have a smaller hub hole so they might fit the front but not back , i dont think chevy changed so they should work, i cant swear to this but thats what i remember

These trucks won't die, just these trucks are awesome. Every workers wanted a f350 or Ram . These trucks are pieces of the automotive history.
I kinda like how the biological hog stopped to look at his mechanical counterpart.
yeah its her yard and she don't like weird shit goin on
Funny how her tail wagged when the truck first started, stopped when the truck died out, the started wagging when the truck restarted
I have that same year truck. But my truck is a bluish color and it's also a flat bed. I got it to haul hay! It's a great truck.
sold it last year, it was a cool project though
Great fords. Awsome onthec farm
Don’t know what year, but my dad had a red truck like this with the flat bed and my uncle had a white one with column shift. Love these old trucks.

Este clase de camion se pude aser los canbio de belosidad a base de sincronisacion
fine looking pig look good.

Hey I found a truck like that at my grandmas and I can’t find the hood release where is it? It could just be that something happened to mine
i honestly don't remember dude but you'll find it if you keep lookin
There is no in-cab hood release. You just pop the lever under the hood, somewhere near the badge.
Nah you don't love that truck.
Do you happen to know bolt pattern? Google is mixed answers
on wheels?
@@porkyswelding yes I'm going to purchase 8 hours away and would like to bring spares but can't figure out bolt pattern
