You’re not alone! This foundation coverage is amazing but does oxidize and is not sweat or transfer proof I try to help myself when I go in stores. They always match me with darker orange shades. I’m medium deep with olive undertones and a golden tone. Caracas is too dark for me.
Nars doesn’t have a lot of medium tan shades. They need to create more shades for us

I am a similar skin tone to you. I found the best match I got with this foundation was to mix Syracuse with Tahoe. It’s not ideal buying two at once but it’s the only way I can get a shade match ahhh!

I agree. It dries down 2 shades darker and it rubs off sooo easily. I disliked how influencers assume “Matte” means “transfer free”.. influencers who receive this product claimed it was “MaskProof” I their AD videos when it was quite the opposite. I have satin-dewy formulas that held up better than this.
I think you’re probably Aruba or Syracuse. I wear Tahoe and you’re lighter than me.
I'm Tahoe in the Natural Radiant but the Sephora employee told me that was too dark. I'll have to look up Sephora's around my area that give samples of these foundation.

Same girl same. I go to Sephora and most MAs match me wrong, but usually too light. This happens so often that I’ve been discouraged from going to Sephora. They take it personally when theyre wrong

Great review.....actually loved the second shade that you picked with a full face of makeup on. Looked pretty.
The shade in Moorea was perfect after it dried down but I wasn't impressed by the formula

I am never fully satisfied with Nars shades for me, somethings always off. I’ve tried so many samples. I have better matches and finish in maybelline, but my go to is Fenty.

Never have had any luck getting shade match in Sephora stores. I’m gonna blame the lighting 🤷♀️

Hey Candace the sephora match also never works for me. I usually bring a bottle of my closest foundation shade and match it with that. Hope that helps
The Sephora employee asked me what I wear in Fenty I told her and she matched me to Caracas 🤦🏽♀️
@@AskCandace 😄 the problem runs deep. I just match it myself with my own bottle haha. Although it does feel bit strange taking out my own foundation in store

I originally bought the shade Tahoe but it was too yellow and for my face despite drying down super dark and orange on my han. I have olive underones and went back to get Moorea since the undertone looked more olive. I’ll be testing out Moorea today and I think it’ll be too dark for my face by the end of the day since it dried down even darker than the Tahoe on my arm. But if the undertone matches I’m keeping it and just highlight my face a lot. Nars needs more shades between Tahoe and Moorea.....the entire medium dark to dark range tbh. One thing I will say about this foundation is that I didn’t have to blot at all for the 8 hours that I wore it.
Try Barcelona.
All Nars medium-tan shades are orange. It's gross. Even in Aruba which is meant to be cool toned, it's Oompa Loompa territory. Still gorgeous.
I can never find a good match in Nars, it's disappointing 😢
@@AskCandace I’m just sick of the medium-tan ALWAYS being fucking gross. I’m Greek so I have tan/almost deep skin but I’m cool toned, and I can’t find anything that doesn’t get me looking like an Oompa Loompa

I don't really rate Nars as a good brand anymore. Their foundations all transfer badly and it's always so difficult to find a good match. I used to wear sheer glow but could never find a perfect match even when they brought out more shades - I think the undertones they use end up making the shades look off.
Nars needs a revamp
