Well. Apocalypse keeps his most precious things in Egypt. As Askani was partly created to combat a future Apocalypse . It’s more than likely set in Egypt at both time periods. Lot of changes from the source, but they are doing a good job. Much better than the original TAS.
I wonder, do team Egypt realise that’s Apocalypse? I’m not sure his history as En Sabah Nur was touched on in the original series (largely because I don’t think it had actually been written yet in the comics) so they might legit have no clue who this guy is…though you’d hope the red eyes and distinctive mouth marking might be a bit of a clue

Boy watching these clips out of sequence is a bit weird. Scott and Jean say goodbye to Cable. Phoenix briefly returns. Xavier tries to reason with Magneto again by telepathically reminding him of when they first met. Magneto gets mindwiped(?). Which I haven't watched yet. Based on this clip, Xavier must have just controlled Magneto to fix the Earth. Since in this clip they are both in ancient Egypt with Rogue and Beast and have just met a young Apocalypse. Yeah, watching out of sequence makes the events in the clips not make sense.
And Nightcrawler is in ancient Egypt, too. Scott and Jean are in the future and have met their daughter, Rachel, and young Nathan. Boy, a lot happened in this episode.
