I love how the original is depressed, and sad they can’t do anything. This is pure rage they want something to happen and are angry nothing is done about what’s happening
Doeray yeah
Yes but this cover is about the speaker who spoke out.
Delores was even supposed to reprise her vocals for this I would’ve loved to see that
Exactly why I love this version.
Hey that's a theory a MUSIC theory thanks for reading
I love that Bad Wolves did this for The Cranberries... It's so sweet, the lead singer of The Cranberries had died on 1/15/2018 and they remade her song! She had the prettiest voice ever (in my opinion) and the fact that they did this in her memory warms my heart!
Her voice was so gorgeous!!
She was suppose to sing in this with them on the day passed.so they released it and all the proceeds they got went to be family.
Her Irish accent was amazing
Same here. She was the greatest and what the bad wolves did was heart warming.
CHECK!!!
Great tribute to the Cranberries. I played the hell out of this album and was lucky I got to see them in Seattle mid 90’s grunge era.

I spent ten years in the marine corps in Iraq and Afghanistan and I have shit in me head now that can’t be silenced and I am a government trained zombie now. Every time I hear this song it touches my heart every time because I do have shit in my head I can get rid of and on the inside I am always crying and I want to be at peace. But as a war torn soldier I’ll never give up. And I’ll never ever let the darkness take me. If anyone needs help or support ANYONE I’m right here always reach out I can help you all and I will I know what sad and depressed is and I will help you feel better because I know how it is to be alone no one will ever be alone if I can help it
Steven...I'm old enough to remember WW1 Vets, WW2 Vets, Viet Nam and Korean vets. They've all had the same ghosts haunt them as you do. War is Hell. Back in the golden days of yesteryear they formed groups to cope with the shit...VFW, American Legion, etc. Our constitution guarantees US citizens safety and security thus we have a military. But there is a high price to that safety and security. You are one among so many who have paid that price. May the day come when you find peace in your soul. And as the old hippie song says, let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. Prayers for you, Steven, and all those who were along side you

The original version by The Cranberries was about the violence in Ireland. This still is a powerful song. It still describes current events. Its incredible.

I lost my father to war but I never question what he did or the decisions he made. My Father was US Army Special Forces a position that took him so long to achieve. For context my entire family excluding the females (with the exception of my sister being airforce ) are military, majority of my friends still in service or out of the military, this song hits super hard. Now Dolores is a real Zombie, dead but immortal in our hearts
I bought Fallout New Vegas from a used game store at the end of 2017. By the time I got to the Lonesome Road campaign, my aunt sent me a text that Dolores had left us. As a child, we listened to the Cranberries often when we visited with her as they were her favorite band. It weighed heavily on me until I came to the finale of Lonesome Road and heard this cover for the first time. I cannot separate the two, and even without my experience, the two share many similarities.
Dolores was a real lady and this song has always had a place in my heart, but this rendition is inseparable from the penance I saw in Lonesome Road. Thank you, Bad Wolves, for building something so great.
