We were passing through, and spent the day near Mt Vernon, KY and we found some interesting places on Luner Road, and a difficult old trail going up Little Trace Branch Rd, and also up around Blue Lick Creek.
Excellent video and an amazing trip. What size tires and lift you have on the Jeep?
Thanks! I am running 31" tires and the lift is about 4" to 4 1/2" now. At the time of the video there in Kentucky, the Jeep was still red and was FULLY loaded! We weighed in at a truck scale and we weighed 5400 pounds! We left Pennsylvania and spent 31 days driving as far as Northern California and back; visiting Moab, Nevada deserts and more. We put about 9000 miles on the old girl!
So awesome I got my 99XJ with a rough country 3” lift kit and 32” so far bfgs A/T’s no check engine, light new oil, change new plugs and distributor valve cover gasket and I’m still only getting 13 mpg, 240miles to a tank I think I possibly have an exhaust leak at the header. Somethings going on how many miles per gallon? Did you get on your trip when you were highway traveling or how many miles were you getting per tank? Love the video!!!
Highway miles on our trip were about 16. If I drove 60 mph I could get 280 miles on a tank. We were loaded heavy too at 5200 lbs!
