Loving the music family. Umu is my fave for cooking. Stuffing the pig with mango leaves gives it more unique fragrance. Other alternative is lemongrass. How about the idea of a brick pizza oven or a Tandori pit oven to solve the river rocks issue? I love making umu growing up back home. Alofa atu family. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸

No real Hawaiians wrap in wire too 😂 the Samoans do it like that they just throw it on, we use fine wire in hilo no foil on our pig we stuff our pig with hot river rocks to cook it from the inside, The old ways in hawaii the never had wire in the late 1890s we used wire nowdays hawaii do it for tourists and lazy way.
