Also, all of these ocean bugs happened to me, were a huge pain in the ass, and is the main reason I carry a stack of logs everywhere I go now. Sometimes you had to build an island from a nerd pole in the middle of the ocean just to put a crafting table on it and build a new boat.

Well, I mean, consider the fact that every “invasion” of this server has been repulsed by a somewhat united coalition of the server’s different players and factions, it’s like this server is some barbarian frontier and different empires keep trying (and failing) to conquer it.

I'm so glad that these oceans weren't a figment of my imagination, I encountered them all the time in single player.
Not gonna lie I kinda miss the Continental world gen. It made the worlds look unique and on servers especially it was very possible to have players stake claims to the continents so other players wouldn't interfere and take your shit.

I have this prediction in 9-10 years time . ( IF the server stays ) the whole overworld would experience a cricis where theres danger EVERYWHERE , and the Overworld & the Nether would be destructed mostly . Judging by the fact that the End has so much space , the remaining people colonize the End realm and clone dirt for farming and terraforming purposes , the End is wide.

@@saacinecrozma8317 It's not infinite, its around 60,000 kilometres on each direction, most of the 2b2t world will be discovered and exploits will upgrade by time. On Java theres a border, X/Z ±29,999,984 exactly I suppose. X/Z ±29,999,999 is the actual limit for a player if they exploit through the border. Then I dont know the exact size of the End though, but it has much more space and if theres a dirt dupe glitch/hack, you could possibly reconstruct the End to a overworld but it would require some bots/ players and maybe exploits that could let you build faster.
On MC Bedrock edition, I've noticed that when I place grass in the End, animals will tend to stay on the grass, though im not 100% sure.

That's a square of 120 thousand kilometers to a side. Meaning 2b2t players have 14,400,000 square kilometers to expand into-- fourteen million square kilometers. That's a ridiculously massive number. If you don't believe me, look up a size comparison of the Earth to a Minecraft world.
Someone else mentioned the storage problem, and there is a significant likelihood that Hausemaster will simply run out of storage for the server, making it effectively unplayable. This is a fairly likely 2b2t apocalypse in the near future. But actually colonizing the entirety of a Minecraft overworld is a task that would take centuries at a minimum

When I first started on 2b I had little experience in the Nether, so I avoided it like the plague. I mainly traveled using Jesus hacks and walking across oceans for hours on end. It worked great until I would hit a jungle biome , gods I hate jungles!

Can you imagine how the aquatic update would change the server? Everyone would have hacked and duped tridents to cast electrical storms with every shot, or just having someone as a tank with the turtle potions and the turtle shell

Edit: I mean the fact that thunderstorms are disabled at times doesn’t stop the trident conjuring lightning.

I, too, lost my beta worlds. I was lucky however and was able to scavenge the ones from release 1.1 and onward. And yes, it really feels like yesterday.

I miss the old ocean generation. It made it feel like I was actually stumbling on something incredible when I got to the other side of an ocean, or found an isolated island with a tree. Now the “oceans” are glorified lakes.

4:31 i remember this so well, it used to be if you tried to ride a boat in water, then crashing into a squid (the only water mob at the time) would result into it turning into planks and sticks, and you had to either continue to swim, or try to craft a new one at the bottom of the ocean
