This conflict is hard to follow in the west. Biggest problem for me that there is no conflict map(or at least I can't find it) to show which rebel group control which areas and progress. Without changes on map is hard to tell who is winning.

KNU forces use US made weapons smuggled across Thai Border . But most of the weapons using by pro-democracy fighters are KIA (Kachin Independence Army ) factory made designed just the same as China weapons and UWSA (a China backed militia ) factory made. China don't support the junta, they never did, the Chinese policy is non interference, but there's some concerns because it's a conflict in their border and Myanmar has important Chinese investment there, besides that, Myanmar became a important hub of scams centers and human trafficking that had many Chinese victims, these groups had some support from the junta and the government didn't ended these operations. On the other side, the rebels have been capable to help China in this matter.
