Hell, even the second Mission Impossible which is directed by him by the way, you can spot some scenes with doves. His other movies centered around a western audience are really good and fairly enjoyable.
Hard Boiled is a classic and I do like many of Woo's Hollywood action films like: Broken Arrow, Hard Target, and Face/Off. Stranglehold was the last hurrah for Midway. Blacksite Area 51 2007 was not a good follow up to Area 51 2005. I haven't played The Wheelman, so I can't comment if it's good or not. I did like many games Midway published on PS2/Xbox though like The Suffering, Psi Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy, and Area 51.

Holy shit! This game! I still have a copy, and I actually only bought it because it was the only way to get a legit bluray copy of the movie Hard Boiled at the time it was released. It was a pack in with the collector's edition version. Turned out the game was pretty good too. Well worth what I paid for it.

I remember when I was like 10 years old I was up in the Maryland DC area, for vacation from Florida during winter, and it was cold and miserable, and I went to GameStop and spent the little bit of money I made from doing chores on a game. I found Stranglehold in the bargain bin for like 12 bucks and I got it, and I put it in my suitcase and it was the only thing that kept me happy during the snow and when I got home I thought it was the most fun game ever
I played this through at least 5 times back in the day, it was just so much fun. Brought back some forgotten memories & serious nostalgia seeing this on my feed
Picked up a uses copy for $5 on Xbox 360. Definitely a good fun game. Wish it was backwards compatible on Xbox Series X or got remastered for both current consoles and pc. Max Payne is done, but there are a few indie/AA games that are channeling the spirit of John Woo action.
A single Stranglehold game is far better and more badass than all installments of the Max Payne franchise. Stranglehold is one of the best third-person shooter video games of all time undoubtedly!
lol really do not agree, I'd only say it's better than MP3, it's very short, the dialog is mostly not well written, HD graphics which now looks plasticy and with cursed faces, even the story isn't that great nor original.

The Killer is really awesome too. Kind of a spiritual successor to Hard Boiled.
