- For this year the Severn Valley Railway Spring Gala would have a slight southern feel to proceedings with the appearance of three Bullied's including the star guest 34081 'Squadron' which was running without nameplates. The other two guests were LMS Ivatt class 2, 41312 visiting from the Mid Hants Railway and finally 9F, 92214 from the Great Central Railway. With the homefeet well represented, there was a great variety of locos on show. The event saw plenty of great action with goods trains, double headers, re creations and and some good loaded trains, especially on the Sunday morning, with the Ivatt Class 2 hauling seven coaches and 34081 'Sqaudron' on load 10. The weather for the gala was pretty dull and with the odd bit of light rain here and there ! Thankfully there was some lively performances, especially with 1450 & 7714 double heading up Eardington Bank.
This, for me was a very good gala and the timekeeping was superb across all three days. Scenes are taken from Friday and Sunday morning. Also, a big thanks to the permanent way gang for some excellent lineside clearance work across the whole line, which has opened up some of the old shots from back in the day !
I hope you enjoy the video.

Great locos, great rolling stock, and truly, even greater photography - all quite outstanding.
Thanks for your kind comment Ian, it's much appreciated. Regards, Liam
As a small boy I frequently travelled Waterloo-Winchester behind Arthurs, Nelsons and early Spam-cans. Then as a loco-spotter at Waterloo a new Bulleid seemed to appear every week. The return of the sound and the SR livery is absolute bliss.
Wonderful as always Liam , Thank you 🚂🚂🛤
You're welcome as always Sue, take care.
Another brilliant video. Thank you.😀😀😀
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Many thanks, really enjoyed the video. I was working at the station in Bridgnorth and was only able to see the locos there.
Glad to fill the void for you Julian.

This was a spectacular gala a great variety of motive power especially the double heading of 1450 & 7714 on the Friday of the gala with 8 coaches on brilliant. This was the best gala I had been to. Great vid mate. Richard

Long overdue Liam, well done the SVR for clearing all that lineside vegetation and opening up the many locations that were covered and difficult to use...Marvelous coverage of the Gala...Regards...Bob

Yes, Another great video. Thank you for your efforts.
Thanks Brian, much appreciated.
Lovely footage Liam of the SVR Gala. Some lovely footage!
I visited on Sunday morning & had an accident! If you stayed after 12 noon the trains were delayed after I fell & gashed my head on a concrete railway sleeper. Had to be rescued at Stourport Junction & taken to hospital via the WM Safari Park to Worcester. But did manage a few hours filming! Geraint
great vid lovely filming
Thanks Phil, much appreciated.
Excellent coverage Liam, some lovely shots and good performances from the locos
Thanks Austin, was a good show from all concerned. Just missing that bit of sun.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Liam, great filming as always...Dave
Hi, Dave, sorry for the late reply, got another backlog to get through and so little time too ! Thanks as always.
Hi Liam, N/Thanks for reply, Dave -(:o)-
Brilliant..
Thanks David.
A very good collection you have put together from your three day visit Liam with very little tender first action, I just went on Friday with my first video having no tender first footage.
Thanks Mike, I was there Friday and briefly Sunday morning. Try not to get to much tender first, unless it's a pannier.
My tender footage will come soon.
My son used to love trains
Good catch of hst in steam engine at the start the video
Yes, interesting combo, although not authentic.
Just joined you, excellent clips and locations. What equipment do you use ?
Thanks very much Mike, equipment used is Manfrotto tripod with a fluid head (Manfrotto MVH502AH)
Do u have to pay to get in there to watch and record them?
Doesn't the 9F look impressive. Love the 14xx and pannier storming long as well.
9F's suit any preserved line, although they do attend to get held back due to their power.
Nothing wrong with a mix of Southern, GWR, and BR Standard steam, especially in this odd time of worldwide drought in terms of any form of social culture, irrespective of what that may be!!!
Nice vidd, gave you a sub :}
Thanks, much appreciated.
Very professional, beautiful quality.
Thanks Mel, your comment is much welcomed.
