    Proud to be Polynesian and represented my culture, my tradition, our legends, our languages that my grandparents pass on from generation to generation through the film Moana. Not many people know French Polynesia says TAHITI. Okay Hawaii and New Zealand, Samoa is known, but Tahiti and all these 118 islands and the atolls called the Tuamotu Islands are rather less known in the world

      Micronesians and Melanesians get overshadowed by comparison. I don't mean to be an ass, but people will have a way higher chance of knowing what a tahitian is than a Chuukese, Chamorro, Palauan, Refaluwasch, or really any other Micronesian

    Just like how Nordic Elsa's are the best, I'm so happy Polynesian Moana's are THE BEST 😍 I hope we don't have to wait 2 years like with the Hawaiian dub to hear Tahitian in HQ!!

    • @FlamSparks
      @FlamSparks  4 года назад +11

      Well, we've already waited 6 to get Tahitian only in LQ x)
      As you know, I don't agree that Nordic Elsa's are the best...not quite _all_ of them at least. But for Moana, I think all Polynesians did a pretty fine job here :3

    Tahitian:
    Hine here i te moana (A girl who loves the ocean)
    Tē pi’i mai nei (They’re calling me)

    Arata’i te ātea (Guiding me to the furthest places)
    I tā ‘u ā’au (In my core)
    Mutu ‘ore tōna (Its… has never left)
    *The sentence is not full because only half of it was said*

    ‘Ei ‘avei’a (For guidance)

    Polynesian Moanas are all great and I'm so glad they made these dubs! :D There's one nasty side effect - now I wanna more dubs in these languages! XD

      My hope is that, if they're ever gonna make a sequel (there are sequels for everything, so I don't see why Moana won't have one), all these three dubbings will return there

      Listen, can I ask you a pleasure? Not sure this thing actually exists, to be honest, but is there a chance you could try and find an episode from Doctor Who dubbed in Arabic by Jeem TV? I tried to figure it out myself, but I just get lost. It would be episode 7 from season 12. As I said, I'm not even sure this season was dubbed, but I'd at least like to check....can try for me, please?

    Ho visto questo cartone da poco (non uccidetemi, vi prego)... Stupenda questa scena! Comunque, trovo che sia bellissima la voce di Jaedyn (ma mi piace molto anche quella di Auli'i, che, se non erro, canta anche la versione inglese) 😍

    • @FlamSparks
      @FlamSparks  4 года назад +3

      Yep, Auli'i è la doppiatrice inglese. Praticamente, il fatto che fosse hawaiana è l'unico motivo per cui esiste un doppiaggio hawaiano, come il doppiaggio maori esiste solo perché la doppiatrice inglese di Tala è bilingue maori. Se non fosse stato per loro (e una serie di circostanze) nessuna delle due versioni avrebbe mai visto la luce.

    Piccola curiosità, quali lingue parli?

    • @FlamSparks
      @FlamSparks  4 года назад +5

      Non è una domanda semplice, perché dipende da cosa intendi con "parlare una lingua". Personalmente, la mia definizione di "parlare una lingua" sarebbe "essere in grado di conversare con un madrelingua di qualunque argomento, pur commettendo errori e non capendo tutto al 100%, ma riuscendo a non incepparsi troppo e a far arrivare il proprio messaggio". In quest'ottica, direi che ne parlo 4: italiano, inglese, svedese e francese (in questo preciso ordine). Dopodiché ci sono le lingue _passive,_ ossia che somigliano in più o meno larga misura a quelle che conosco _attivamente._ Nel mio caso, cerco di allenare la mia comprensione dello spagnolo tramite l'italiano, pur senza averlo mai studiato. Similmente faccio con danese e norvegese, che a livello scritto somigliano moltissimo allo svedese, il che mi permette di capirle ad un buon livello. Più lontanamente imparentati sono l'islandese e il norreno, che infatti affronto più di rado, ma su cui sto comunque lavorando. Poi ho fatto un paio di anni di coreano e ormai ne ho una conoscenza molto risicata, ma continuo ad allenarlo per non farlo morire del tutto, in sostanza.
