I just introduced my daughter to the world of snorkeling last week in Key Largo and Islamorada, Florida. And what an introduction it was! We were both lucky to swim with a Nurse Shark and a Turtle. We had to borrow a mask and snorkel for her because I didn't know if she would like it. Turns out, she does! Later this year, we will be visiting Italy, and we will definitely be snorkeling on that trip too.

Thanks. I would add that when trying on a mask for fit, put a snorkel or reg in your mouth. That will ensure a better fit when doing the suction test.

I kinda dive/swim in Oman, near a place called Muttrah. I get to see beautiful colourful fish at times. Mostly they hide under the rocks till you stay really still and they are familiar with your presence I guess. But there aren't much of any reefs around here. I've seen some fish from "Finding Nemo" though. I go back whenever I can to see them again

@@OceanPancake You can dive all year round without many problems of too cold, In my island, Mallorca, in January the surface water is around 15 C, reaching 30 C, or more lately in July till October. No Big pelagics, thy're really hard to see and never close to the coast. If is a restricted area there's plenty of life, from bass to octopi, otherwise is almost barren because of the excess of fishing. I guess is boring comparing to other zones, but is what we have.
