@@OceanPancake ...I love your spirit and example...very wholesome and inspiring. I’ve always wanted to dive and am planning to get into it this year. 🙂
Would love to see a tour on your wetsuits! I'm just getting back into scuba diving now after not completing my open water course when I was 12. Just never went back the next season and other sports took over. You have helped make the decision to get back to scuba diving so thank you!
@@OceanPancake Definetly I would love to work in conservation in the future through scuba diving and photography hopefully I can do some internships overseas, look forward to learning more from you i'm from Ireland!
What is your favourite wetsuit to dive in? And let me know if you would like a wetsuit tour of all the wetsuits I have with some explanation about them! Hope you have a great 2021!
Always wondered about this! When free diving was our only means of underwater exploration, the thermocline always wore us out! Then once we became divers the diving wetsuits took too much weight to get neutral without feeling weighed down. Great video, thank you!
@@OceanPancake I mostly just scuba now, so wet suit or the rare occasional rental of a dry suit! Though if I have to go over 5mm I probably don't want to dive lol. What is one brand of wetsuit you tend to avoid, whether it be for free diving or scuba?
Hi there! I’ve got an question.. so I’m doing my scuba diving certification at the moment but after that I’m planning to do freediving, just for myself. Could I use my scuba diving suit to freedive? It’s a 5mm one and the waters here in Germany are cold so that’s useful. Any opinions?
Katt, good video. Yes ,would like a review of your suits. You teach well. The wet suit dancing is entertaining. Question for you- Are you seeing less and less bigger fish on your dives each year? On every video I see on RUclips you are lucky if you see one larger fish. Here in South Florida I see less and less of all types of fish every year. Also thanks to you i went vegan ( except for fish i get myself) about 1 year now. Lots of times I don’t even try to spear because I see so few fish. I just enjoy and appreciate being in the sea. Keep saving the ocean,I’m with ya Katt!
Congratulations on that change towards sustainability!! I have overall been seeing a lot of large fish recently, but I have been diving in very remote locations. In previous years, that had certainly been the case and I was surprised by how few big fish I ever saw on any dive! Due to covid here, lots of people have started diving and spearfishing so even in remote destinations fish are disapearing!
Thanks for your reply Katt, thats so disheartening to hear. One thing I’m totally against is commercial fishing . Wildlife is not for sale. Good day to ya Katt.
Hi there! It completely depends on the thickness of the wetsuit. If I wear this one, I use around 4.5kg or so for free diving and maybe 5.5kg for scuba!
@@OceanPancake Thanks for the answer. I was interested because we pretty much have the same weight and length :D. Hopefully I can do my OWD this year when Covid restrictions are reduced. I just can't wait to go back in the water. BTW a wetsuit is next on my shopping list so an overview of would be quite helpful before I go into the dive shop. Greetings from Germany :)
The wetsuit tour overview would be awesome...difficult to sort out the differences for us newbies. 👍🏽
There is so much out there! Completely understand that it can be over whelming. I am still learning every day!

What state are you in? The water looks pretty clear. Good information on the suit.💯
Hey just wondering about sizing - does it run large? Im unsure what size to get.. the 10 actually looks a bit big on you still!
Hey there.
How much weight do you usually use for free and scuba diving? 6kg?
