    Some people says that the world changed after the collapse of Soviet Union but not. The 90s were the last parts of that time. And in 8:45AM, 9/11/2001, that world completely ended. The life of the 20th century most of our parents lived happily, ended in that exact time.

    Looking directly from above, the entire plaza extends about 100~120 meters in both horizontal and vertical distances ( from wtc6 to wtc2 , from wtc4 to wtc1 ). In metric scale, the area of the plaza was approximately 100m^2 ~ 120m^2. To get a feel of how big it was, Usain Bolt would have to run at least 17 seconds (with his fastest speed ever recorded, provided zero obstacles in the way) to reach wtc5 from Marriott Hotel (wtc3).

    • @Dana_Danarosana
      @Dana_Danarosana 5 лет назад +5

      The entire complex was of a scale not to be believed if not seen... I mean, each floor of towers 1 & 2 contained an acre of space for God's sake! The entire complex contained over 300 acres of floor space... picture a large, commercial farm stacked vertically!

    I think this edit just showed how people could be oblivious to how bad that morning was becoming. With the music playing the same and no dramatic cut at 3:56 I actually thought all the paper was confetti. I didn't know there was a stage on the plaza then either and I thought this was from 1999 or 2000, It didn't register right away that it was that morning until I saw all the red marks on the ground(and that's all I want to see of the fallen people). The rest of the debris really solidified that for me. Everything was normal until it wasn't.

    To think there will never be a stage like Center Stage ever again at the complex; and for good reason. I'm sure families of 9/11 would object to there being some sort of stage outside 1WTC, as it would make it look like the performers are dancing atop the graves of many people who died that day. The entire site is practically a burial ground, covered in memorializing the victims. They would never allow for an outdoor venue like Center Stage.

  • @TIMEPPF

    2 questions
    1. At 3:20, where exactly is this, that isn't one of the towers on the right is it? It looks like there is stairs to go down, I wasn't aware of anything like that at the site, I thought it was all level ground.
    2. What is Center Stage? Was this a concert that was supposed to happen or happened but wasn't cleaned up or was it scheduled for later in the week?

    • @DogDayFetch1995
      @DogDayFetch1995 22 дня назад +2

      I know I'm late, but at 3:20, that's between WTC 1 & WTC 6, and yes, stairs go down to the carport due to elevation changes, the elevation changes are also noticable near the street level mall entrances in 4 & 5WTC, and Center Stage was an outdoor dance series in Summer 2001, one series was scheduled to begin on September 10th, 2001 but was canceled due to rain, and on 7pm on September 11th, 2001, but was canceled for obvious reasons, it was supposed to be on the whole week of September 11th, but never finished for obvious reasons, hope this helps

I appreciate the response though and it might help someone else who wasn't aware of the questions I asked. I've learned a lot since asking this question so I better understand the layout now. I found some other videos that show the different elevations on either side of the plaza, from the videos I had seen I just thought it was level ground but now know that you could walk into the plaza from one side but would near to take stairs on the opposite side.

      @@DogDayFetch1995 Not sure how much you study 9/11, but do you know about Yvette Nicole Moreno? I'm trying to figure out how she died, she worked above the impact but got out I guess because she was on her way up the building when the North Tower was hit, she then called 20 minutes later to tell her family she got out on her cell, then she's dead. Not sure if she died when the South Tower was hit or collapsed but neither makes a ton of sense, there are some NY Post articles, her body was found under a foot bridge by the North Tower, it's really interesting and I would love to get some theories. I checked videos and see no bodies under any footbridge and by the time the South Tower collapsed there is no way a civilian could still be located there.

    • @DogDayFetch1995
      @DogDayFetch1995 17 дней назад +1

      @@TIMEPPFI don't know much about her specifically if you're asking, but I do study this subject quite a lot, sorry I don't know much about her, I mainly look at the plaza and stuff that day, i do know of a civilian who got a hold of a FDNY radio in a truck underneath the North Bridge (the bridge leading from 6WTC to Winter Garden), and you can hear his calls for help in the radio broadcast, which was shortly after the South Tower collapse, not sure if this helps though

      Sadly, What's left of bodies after an 8-10 second free fall yes. I'm so glad that at least these people had the time to compose themselves and accept that these were the terms they were willing to accept as the end of their story. And, as hard as it is to say, that they died instantly upon landing. They were spared 3 horrors worse that this in the hours that followed. May their memory be a blessing.
