  • The influence of perfectionism can be so all-consuming, it can leave us ultimately feeling joyless. One of the biggest manifestations of perfectionism is the pressure it brings and the joy it steals.
If you find yourself constantly striving under the pressure of perfectionism, it may be time to take back your joy.

Lol Mark this is spot on. Perfect timing for the video. Always makes me laugh (the accuracy of this video) and that takes the pressure off 😅☺️.

It feels like an energetic lack of energy....like a void of supporting energy thats stuck right my Colon area. Burning and shrinking day and night.....its really scary. Been struggling with this issue for 7 years now. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️😪😪 Please pray for me for a healing miracle. 🙏🏻🙏🏻😪 Bless you if you're reading this.....I am totally exhausted.

You are so spot on. I am tormented by all of these 10! And I was just ready to ask if you have a list of these 10 that I could print to help me "get over" these at exactly the time you said: "Perfectionists like lists....give me the 10 things"... God is right on time in pointing me in the right direction. I am so exactly like what you're describing and I don't like it. I will be freed by the grace of God! Thank you for this message!

Yay! I’m the first view! 🥳 I haven’t seen you in the comments lately, so I figure you’ve been buckled down recording the OCD audiobook (which I will definitely be buying because my chronic illness makes it way easier to listen than to read 😊). Been praying for you in the arduous recording process, Pastor Mark. 🙏

I really appreciate how you share truth in love! And I made this face 😅 when you said “laugh at your mistakes”. It’s so simple but so good. I tend to be my worst critic. Fix that, fix this. Ohh you lost that again and messed that up again. Gosh, can totally see how always being hard on yourself steals your joy.

I almost thought I wrote that and just forgot I did. Thank you so much for all you do. You are making such a difference. One thing, Mark, your joyful perspective is what always helped me to see, listen and feel hope that I could heal.

When I laugh at my flaws, I tend to do a scoff chuckle instead, like “how silly of me to think about feelings and put pressure on myself.” I end up using pressure to clash with that pressure.

I keep revisiting this one a lot. It's super helpful to streamline the intentions for the day. I'm in a season of recessitating my creativity. Restoring fun, working smarter not harder, taking one step, building momentum, vision and gratitude, taking restorative breaks and taking off the pressure. It's counterintuitive to self discipline. When I apply self discipline I rebel 😆. Fun was the missing element to nurture creativity for me. 'Get to ' instead of 'should' or 'have to '. And remembering purpose is also important. There's so much great ministry on this channel, thank you!

Praise God for letting us appreciate the small and mundaine in the naturel, the godly in the supernaturel! I therefore bind to hell every idea one's life has to be perfect before one can enjoy one's life while binding one to enjoy one's life despite lacking to be perfect in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents and the body of Christ while binding one to focus more on what is good and present and binding to hell thinking one is loved more when performing better while binding one to focus more one enjoyment and gratitude than on performance, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone thinking one's life has to be perfect before one can enjoy one's life while lacking to know one can enjoy one's life despite the lack of a perfect life while lacking to focus more on what is good and present and thinking to be loved more when performing better while lacking to focus more on enjoyment and gratitude than performance, in accordance with this word and nehemiah 8:10, philippians 4:11-13, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!

Thanks for the reminder! I have found myself engulfed in reading and researching about a struggle in my relationship with GOD that I noticed I was checked out. It was harder to remain present. I've done a lot of work to remain present with my family and it's paid off. But I found myself in this deep contemplation. I gained great insight during my contemplation but I know I have a tendency to go above and beyond. I'm reminded to relax. Whatever wisdom, conviction or insight I receive about myself, I won't be able to "perfect" it overnight.

What if you've given up because long ago you got burned out of the perfectionism. Youve fallen into some of the same old sins over and over. And you're not even trying anymore. Depression has set in. Anxiety is always there. And God seems different or gone altogether. I seek Him but its not like it used to be.
