do it! Aquila is a great brand. you’ll have to use a file the bridge and nut to fit the thicker gauge string. easy to do on your own, but it’s also a quick and easy setup for an instrument technician to do for you :)
@@mossy_bones_ oh! cool! i didn’t know it was called something! i started doing it after playing a lot of overhand banjo and then going back to clawhammer and sort of being unable to separate the two.
wow!! thanks so much for listening to it. i recorded that track in a trailer that i was quarantining in during early COVID. the rumbling sound in the background is the propane furnace.
Just loved this Thank you
you’re so welcome! thanks for listening!
Been diving into Clarence Ashley, Doc Watson, and a pile of old folk lately. A duet with Lotus Wight would be powerful... Keep shining that light
love Lotus Wight! maybe we will make a duet some day :)
thanks for watching
I love it!
thank you!
Thanks for uploading another video!
Love the sound of your banjo. I'm definitely sold on switching my strings out to nylon.

Nice playing on an "intermediate" sounding banjo. 😊
thanks! i made this banjo with guidance from a drum maker friend and some of the team that builds for Bill Rickard here in Ontario.
