Hi everyone! I’m glad you’re here. Just a quick reminder that in no way am I claiming to be an expert on anything Germany related. I recently moved here and wanted to share my experiences because I was interested in learning more while living back in the U.S. if you don’t have anything kind to say, don’t say it. ♥️
Internet-Prices (off base!) can be a lot less than what you mention. I have fast Internet including fast upload and pay between 50 and 60 Euro/month (phone, tv and Internet). Mobile I pay 3.99 Euro/month and can extend my data any time for 3.99. These tariffs are valid all over Europe. Might be a good idea who talk with some Germans about what to do.
Hi there some points need clarification ;-) t-mobile USA is a subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland Trader joe's is also a part of the Aldi family you should mention, that all the price tags in germany include the V.A.T ... what you read is what you pay. when you talk about prices for food, keep in mind, that the EU has very strict food regulation, and the quality is way higher than in common US grocery stores. greetz from berlin
Wow, I can only imagine that alcohol is cheaper. Nice. My husband would love that. I’ve never been to Aldi before but I heard such great things about it. I didn’t know it originated out there.
Oh, great! Then you will not receive OHA because everyone has to live on post. Your COLA can be calculated online. Let me know if you have any specific questions about Ansbach ☺️
128 Euro for for two Cellphones a month that's way to much There are cheaper options not unlimited but if 120gb are not enough I don't know what you are doing. That costs about 25 Euro by the way and the other conditions like Roaming in Europe are the same . Ask somebody who is longer here or a German you can save some Bucks for something else. Greetings from the Black Forest.

Aldi is even older than Walmart
Hi I love your maps in the background where did you order them from?
I ordered them on Etsy 😊 www.etsy.com/shop/KDPRINT
Traders Joe is Aldi too.
You know, that off post the price you see at a shelf is price you pay?
Yes
Do they take all bah or oha if you live on post
Yes
Thank you for this! Also what about the pay?? I’m gathering that we don’t receive BAH there
There isn’t BAH, but you will receive COLA. Also, depending on whether or not you will live off post you can receive OHA. Base pay will not change.
Oh okay! We are going to the same place y’all are at!

(German old guy speaking:) You look really German here: Little to no obvious makeup. Seems like you arrived. Welcome
Thank you!
@@AshleyVering I'd second that.
Enjoy Europe!
