Glad that you're touching on the topic of the upcoming hurricane season 2024 with the La Niña phase which we can all say that we've heard it from you first (most reliable source)...It's true when we were in the El Niño phase we saw less rainfall due to the wind but when we were in the LA Niña phase,we got a lot of rain in Trinidad....Looking forward to some well needed rainfall this year for agriculture & reservoirs purposes but not the hurricanes or flooding. Good morning Brian and weather community, thank you for these informative weather updates. I was dumb as a rock about weather patterns and hurricanes formation and direction and strength, etc. For the past year I have been sitting at your feet, wide-eyed and full of anticipation for what I will learn at your next update. You calm my fear of hurricanes and gave me a new found respect for the power of nature and that we can survive it's effect if we listen carefully to the instructions given to us during the preparation for a hurricane. When we are told to evacuate we should not stay back to protect our house and property, but get away as fast as we can, life is more precious than the abundance of things we possess. Nature is powerful and when out of control, she will not be deterred by mere mortals. We should respect her and get out of her way as she reclaims that which was hers in the first place. All that we own was taken from Nature in the first place and sometimes not so kindly. We take away all her trees, we destroy her coral reefs, we pollute her air, we pollute her seas, then she gets angry and all hell breaks loose. So when we are told to get out of her way, let's not be defiant and say we will "ride her out"; most of the time we don't live to tell the story of our encounter. So let us prepare for this hurricane season with all due diligence and listen to Brian, our Weatherman Extraordinaire. We love ❤❤🇧🇸🇧🇸 you Sir and thank God for you. Good morning from Belize on this cool, uncertain-weather-looking Sunday. Friday and Saturday, we had mostly clear skies with fairly cool breezes along the coast, dry days. However, on Saturday night, actually after 3am this Sunday morning, we got some very hard rain showers along the coast, which cleared up by sunrise. We do have some clear blue skies with a mix of rain clouds, so there's not much sunshine this morning.
