Kitesurfing in Watumu, KENYA

I went to visit my friend Ben in Kenya. Ben owns Tribe Watersports, a really cool water sports centre in a sleepy village called Watumu offering Kitesurfing, Winging, SUPing, boat trips and even Dolphin tours. I went out of season so I didn't get strong wind but we had some great days Kite-Foiling exploring some of the local spots, we even went on safari and saw loads of animals including Lions. Looks like an awesome place for foiling. Nice to see the single strut Ghost getting some publicity rather than the no strut UFO. Don’t get me wrong, I love my UFO’s but I also really enjoy foiling with the Ghost, especially the 6m.

Looks a top place Sam - must put it on my bucket list. I noticed you were using the 12 ghost, do you find much advantage to using the larger size? I can never decide whether to go small or large for light wind foiling

im big fan of the big ghosts, however i rarely foil on anything bigger than a 10m (15 knots+), but the bigger sizes really help get up on the foil in very light hot wind, (8-15 knots)
