hey guys, i just wanted to give you an update that maybe my uploading will be quite slow over the next few weeks and that my mood in upcoming videos will be lower (this video & my next video [project pan update] were pre recorded) but anything after that you might see a difference in me. i’m just going through a lot emotionally right now and it’s been really tough… i don’t want to share whats going on right now, maybe in the future when i’m ready but i just wanted to give a heads up & if you can please keep us in your prayers 🖤 also auckland has had really bad flooding - thankfully the area i live in wasn’t affected but if you can keep those affected in your prayers too.
of course, it's your own private life never feel pressured to share. I wish you the best and I appriciate you posting at all, but please take a break if it becomes too much. Your health is first and we do care about that more than a fun video a few weeks early.
This review was so spot on! I think ColourPop has been decent about listening to their consumers in the past, but this all just goes back to their consumers asking them to SLOW DOWN! It's definitely felt like quantity over quality more often than not. While there have been some really cute things to come out as always, the lack of detail in commercial collabs like this one has been painfully obvious. When you said "It's a FAIRY collection! You could have done so much with that!", you are SO right! Then there's the painfully obvious duping of themselves with your comparisons. Companies nowadays feel ok to do this bc everything EVERTHING is limited edition and they make bank on nostalgia. I'm not a collector, but even if I was, I would be passing up a lot more stuff because it's basically repackaged and recycled concepts and color stories over and over again. I think them giving us back some of their delicious staple bullet lips was great, but they need to keep the ball rolling with that and continue to give us great STAPLES we don't feel huge pressure to "buy right now or else it's never coming back!" This is why I'd even rather turn to more expensive brands like Dose of Colors because they usually keep core collections around and have much slower releases. I know that's just how the industry is nowadays, but I still think that they're shooting themselves in the foot by releasing so much so fast. It's an inevitable burnout for everyone involved. I am just glad you decided to explore other makeup brands. The direction you've taken your channel with your vlogs, taking the time to do tuts w/in review vids, and project pan vids is one of the reasons why you remain one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I wasn't really a Winx kid growing up, but I LOVE the makeup collection, and I think that the colors represent the characters perfectly. I LOVe mint green, blue and cyan eyeshadows and the oines on this palette look gorgeous. The enchantix glitter would be perfect to wear to a festival! also I'm happy that the sparkly glosses are coming back in style, but the ones I had from Justice as a kid were way more pigmented. Now I'm 20 and I'd still wear them over top of a basic pinky-red lipstick. The green one looks so pretty but I wish it was more pigmented, I had one like it when I was younger.
i was waiting for your review!! i was sooo attracted to this palette particularly because of that pastel yellow! i'm not a warm toned girly and yellow is my least favorite color, but i feel like pastel yellow might look good on me and change my mind. but a part of me felt like i couldn't buy this just because of one color - and then you compared it to the BT21 palette which i already have! so maybe i won't pick the winx palette up...maybe 😝 i agree completely with the idea of the girls having a supershock shadow instead of lipgloss (again, like the BT21 collection)...imagine if colourpop decided to do a tie dye for each of the girls instead!! i would pick those up for sure!! thanks for your hardwork always judy!! ps i hope you're doing okay, please take as much time as you need to heal or feel better! your subscribers will be waiting for you and supporting you all the way 💜

Ahh, so happy to see your take on these! I haven’t even opened the palette because I wanted to see your looks first. I only bought the palette (I also grew up with it and loved it so much) because NYX had released a collab with the Netflix show and I grabbed all of the glosses. NYX’s actually look quite different imo, but it’s way too much glitter for my liking.

i think the reasoning behind the palette lacking in matte shades is that it may be intended to be used to create fairy-inspired looks, which would involve less brush strokes and more involvement of the fingers instead (to apply the shimmers and glitters, for example), and using one or two mattes to set up the base of a look and then let the glittery shades do the magic *wink*

LOOK 2 is my favorite look! I thought you were doing Flora’s look there! 💓 I want to recreate that look (with a different CP palette though, bc I didn’t buy this collection).
I actually got one of the lipglosses and it's definitely one that doesn't translate well on camera I got Stella and it's actually a really nice and pretty sparkly, not too glitter dense but still really pops I think they do better as a lip topper perhaps? But it DEFINITELY looks different than the pictures (idk why it doesn't translate well) I plan to eventually get another color to compare, but it's already different than images xD I think the biggest con of it so far is the smell? It's an off vanilla? And doesn't taste all that great It's not super heavy, but you can still feel it. P good consistency, not overly sticky. And so far it seems to go on pretty evenly Recommend if you like classic early 2000s lip glosses more
Colourpop changed their pressed glitter formula, I can't remember what they're calling it... but it doesn't have the eye safety warning anymore. I'd rather they kept metallics instead and the glitterally obsessed for those who want glitters. Thanks for your videos, I love your Colourpop reviews!

When I saw this collection come out, I picked up the palette right away Bc I love Winx Club lol and for the periwinkle tones because I don't really have any in my collection. I love how bright the palette is. I also think some shade swaps would be nice. Like for Zenith, maybe giving it more pigment and depth so that it isn't too similar to the yellow pastel shade. And even adding a matte mid-tone purple for looks inspired by Tecna/Aisha. I love the idea of doing super shocks instead for the girls. Maybe that two-toned concept you mentioned about too :). Take all the time you need Judy. I'll be praying for safety and for care, and for you and your family💕.

Thats actually how i felt about this colection too! I LOVED Winx club growing up and wanted to be a part of their group haha so i really wanted to love this colourpop collection when it came out! but I just felt like everything they released in the palette, glitter, and gloss were very similar to other colourpop products I already own so I didnt really want to buy everything just for the packaging :/
I almost every single season he’s like wings club the later seasons like to 78 and possibly nine or just kind of like not really the Winx club that I know like the wings club from like one to five was excellent. Six was OK. Six is pretty cute and creative. So I am really excited and I want to buy wings club makeup and everything because I love wings and another rebooting it but I don’t think it would be as good as the original like everything else.
I have that palette and I love winx club, but in my opinion the quality of eyeshadows it's not very good. Some of glitters give really bad effect when applicated with no base or water. I have better glitter eyeshadows with multidimensional shine. Some of mattes are also weak :I
