Nice! I'm new to VCarve and got my first dreaded "Ignoring Unsuitable Vectors" error when calculating a V-Carve toolpath on text with a fancy typeface. Your video got me back on track again. Thanks!
This video came up as a suggested video 12 hours after I was struggling to figure out why my vector was not working. I ended finding the vector validator by chance. However like you there was an open vector which I luckily found in node editing. Great video, though I do wonder how RUclips can see into my past 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks, I did not know about the vector validator. I usually go into node edit mode, or, I select the vector, right click and close vector, and I see what moves. This is much better!
That is another way to do it as well, which I use a lot, however I was trying to take the more "long hand" approach in this video so everyone would understand why it happens.
great video, any tips on why my clean vector that i made using polylines wont calculate ? its a simple diamond shape. is their something different about vectors using polyline tool than bitmap tracing?
what do you do when you have zoomed in as far as you can go but still cant see the issue with an intersection. I have a few just like that on the current project
Vectric is a windows based software. But I use Parallels program on my Mac so I can run Vectric with it. It is basically a windows emulator for a Mac. I have been using it for over 7 years without any issues

I knew about the vector validator, but I did not know how to fix the problem.
THank you, this will help me a lot when I also import files into Vcarve

Hugely useful. Saved 12 days of research and troubleshooting! Thanks
Knew how to fix that problem but did not know about the vector validator. Thanks
