Wow! You sure have done a lot of different creative things. The clay dolls are awesome. That is going to be a treasure book. A great idea for old photos instead of just photo albums. I am waiting patiently for my hubs bringing our daughter home for her 50th birthday. She has just bought her first home in Christchurch where she has worked and lived for 5 yrs. Love Trills xxx
Thank you Kim! I started making these dolls, painting, art journaling when I realized just how abusive a situation I was continuing to stay in. I cried EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was so depressed and lost. I was dying. Art kept me hanging on. I am so glad for a different life now. xx
I love your style, glueing and sticking is so fun, you're still memory keeping. Lovely to look back on your clay dolls, so pretty. I'm getting back into crochet after not doing any for 4 years. I've got granny squares, doillies and pin cushions, I used to make allsorts of little things. I also got put my 2 rag kitty dolls that I handmade years ago that I'd totally 4gotten about. My kids are 19 and 26 but still live at home, no hint of leaving at min..... I want a craft room,😂 i journal like this too. Lovely video Lynn.
Sandra, my youngest is still VERY "plugged in" 😂 even though she has her own place with her sweet little family. Whew. It takes so much more for young kids to get started these days. I love granny squares, doillies and pin cushions!! Lovely! Thank you so much!! xx
This is such a beatiful journal. I enjoyed seeing the photos of your dolls and hearing about how you use your journals. I use my journals for art play or for a "to done" spot to journal in. Thank you!
As you described how you journal and your age, your story really struck a familiar cord. I am working towards getting all of my bits and bobs into journals too. I don’t have children so am not documenting anyone’s life but my husband and I. My journals are for us when we are older and I’m creating them to help us have more vivid memories. Thank you for sharing and thank your for the videos. I know it takes a lot of energy and effort to create, edit and upload them. You are appreciated.
Lynn … I am so excited for you, and for this next part of your creative journey. I feel a kinship, being of similar age and circumstance. My own creative journey is also at a turning point. I have a Brand new YT channel @TheEclecticCottage. I’ll be keeping a close eye out here and look forward to the much more frequent updates you’ve been making. Happy Crafting my friend. - Coy
Hi Coy! I just went over to your channel and subscribed. I love that paint-splattered background under your journal! And your Christmas in July. I will check in to your channel while I'm in the workshop. Happy Crafting my friend! xx
