@@devinbrown1223 exactly. Production car just won't cut it. Definitely need a Stall Converter. Power Braking won't work on the launch. I ride a GsxR 750, except for exhaust, it's basically stock & I've been challenged by the Camaros, Stangs, Chargers, Challengers, Vettes. Even my 750 gaps the crap out of them. I will say that I raced a Zr1 Vette & caught me around 160mph & kept on truckin😂 But normally races won't go top end.

@@observingrogue7652 Most Ducati riders(not all)are wannabe elitists that buy it for the brand name but can't really ride--- additionally Ducati despite looking aesthetically amazing and sounding awesome typically lags their competitor brands on performance. Panigale is lesser of a bike to a S1000RR or R1M and every real rider knows it--- still a killer bike of course and if you found a great deal.....
That being said, there's a sect of Ducati riders that pick up used Ducati's like 848 EVO's(which is a COOL practical sport bike) and Monsters on the cheap and can ride the shit out of them. Garage queens/weekend warrior elitst tends to be the rest.

Motorcycles have superior power to weight ratios. In my earlier days 1979 to 1983 I used my motorcycle to commute through Melbourne, Australia traffic. I would lane split stopped traffic to get to the front at traffic lights on motorcycles ranging from 100 to 500 CC. Even my little Honda CB100 would be powerful enough to get in front to the point where I could get back into a lane. I was not only quicker in stop/start traffic but used less fuel. A bummer on wet days though. :-D

Only way these bikes are losing is if the rider is bad. Its a 1000cc bike , doesn't matter how good the driver is or how good of a lunch you get you're still getting gapped.

My stock CBR1100XX smoked every single car that attempted to think they were faster, with one exception, my best friends heavily modified 2003 Vette running nitrous on a 427 Chevy big block and he stayed with me all the way to 178mph, now THAT was a fast car.

Dennis karnes it doesnt have to be that way! I, currently, am riding a Hayabusa. Although it has comfort in the Corbin seats, bar risers, lower foot pegs, and even a 400watt stereo...it also has 4 to 1 race exhaust, race cams, and a pc5! It does a lot of things well haha

A properly ridden liter bike should be in the 9-10 sec range trapping in the mid/upper 140’s. 600 cc sport bikes should be in the high 10-11 second range trapping around 130.
Las Vegas is 2000 ft elevation . Would probably lose a couple of tenths . I don't know where the rest went .

Patrick Madden to be honest a good amount of drivers couldn’t launch a manual, it’s difficult though because the track prep wasn’t the best. There was no burnout box that night, also there was a strong wind that I’m sure killed some times too
I knew the dude on the Ducati was going to be slow the second I noticed he never put his visor down. If you’ve ever been fast on a bike with your visor up you’ll know what I’m talking about.
I think that 999X Duc rider scared himself slow after the first run. No hard launch, right leg dangling everytime.

I used to ride a Hayabusa and I know personally that it can't be touched. I went from 0 to 90 in a few seconds and held my head above the visor for one second. My mouth flew open and I got pushed back on the bike. I got tingles through my whole body and thought I was going to die. lol I downshifted and sold that bike a few weeks later. I just had a son and couldn't risk it. lol

I almost bought one that had 276 wheel hp but it had nitrous ran though it and I’ve seen what that does to motors. They wanted like $12k for it with trade in of my old bike. Not saying bikes aren't fast as hell and the best bang for your buck, just saying they are not unbeatable by cars.
