So excited to see Normandy through your eyes…absolutely beautiful! Heidi was so precious eating her macaroon and I love the blouse she was wearing. Dinner looked really yummy too…what an amazing day. Thank you ❤🇨🇦
Aw thank you Linda 🥰🙏 Hopefully episode two of five from Normandy will be up soon! Haha Heidi is a macron fiend 😂 ever since she was just over 2 and tried her first one she’s been hooked! I love that blouse too, with the floral detailing in the arms. When I saw it at the shops I just had to buy it for her 🥰 See you later in the week hopefully ❤️ have a good week ahead
Here you are in France! Lovely, I like when you’re eating French patisserie 😂 and I admire your husband , he can drive on the left side and a couple hours after He drive on the right side on the road in France and it seems very easy for him, bravo . Thank you for this video I’m looking forward for watching a next episode. ❤❤❤🌹🇫🇷 Happy day may , today it’s a bank holiday here and we give each other lilies of the valley , it’s a lucky charm. 😘
Yes, we LOVE France 🥰 I try to visit every chance I get! Haha my goodness, French pastries are like no other 🤤 I wish they did pastries this good in England… the plus side to that not being the case is that I have to visit France more often simply to go to the patisseries lol. Peter is fantastic at driving, myself on the other hand get a little daunted by swapping sides of the road 😂 Thank you for taking the time to watch this video, many more coming from our time in Normandy ❤️ Happy May to you too! I love Lily of the valley, we have some growing in our garden at home. I heard the tradition goes back to King Charles IX when he was given some as a gift and told it would bring good luck so he went on to give some to all the ladies in his court. However the tradition began, I like it 🥰
Thank you for this journey to France. Amazingly beautiful and quaint. Nothing like that here in the States. Such a long history and buildings charming, stone, unique architecture and have weathered time. I look forward to the next episode!
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it! France in general has such a wealth of charming villages, many dating back over a thousand years. A very long history. Normandy especially being tied with our own history in England with William the conqueror coming over and changing the course of British history. Plenty more from Normandy coming soon 😊
Our pleasure! Thank you for joining us and taking the time to watch 🥰🙏 Aw yes, she is such a little sweetheart. Peter is a fantastic cook, I think he does the majority of the cooking to be honest 🤭
At 10:19 your daughter notices the shadows and walks along the lines. Without even consciously doing so. A naturally talented observer it seems like her mother. Such a sweet video makes me feel I am with you all. I do so like your videos. They are such a feast for the eyes. Thank you from USA, New Mexico.
I hadn’t noticed that 😊 She is incredibly observant though, even from when she was a baby she never missed a trick! She sees and hears everything! Thank you for taking the time to watch our videos and joining along with us 🥰🙏 I’m working on the next Normandy episode atm so hopefully that will be up later this week. See you soon!
What a lovely place! Your daughter is such a delight as always. Oh, my goodness, I would love to taste that raspberry macaron! Looking forward to the next video.😊

So lovely! My parents traveled to Normandy for the 60th anniversary of D-Day with a tour run by Stephen Ambrose, author of "Band of Brothers", my mother was actually lucky enough to speak to him on the phone! That croissant looked absolutely amazing, I love your videos, so beautiful.
Beautiful ! I would love to visit the Normandy area ! Imagine crossing those beaches under heavy fire ! Thanks for another facinating and awesome video !! Glad to see the whole family enjoying the trip ! 🇺🇲 / 🇬🇧
It’s a superb region of France to visit. Lots of history as you can well imagine with our long ties between England and France going back 1000 years with William The Conqueror and then of course all the way through until more recent times with the wars. There’s a lot to explore. Thank you for joining us on day one, more coming soon 🥰
I noticed her art work because I am an artist and I wanted to say major PROPS for using the Posca pens...those are great and her art work shows her talent. Bravo Heidi!🎨💙
Always enjoyable to follow you all on family trips. As you took the ferry to Calais, reminded me of the series French Fields and the funny adventures of Hester and her hubby :)
It most certainly was 🥰 plenty more days in France coming up on the channel soon. Thank you!! I can’t take the credit, it was all Peter. He built everything in the van from scratch and the splash back tiles were his idea too. They’re so pretty! 😍 I’ll hopefully do a van tour soon once it is fully complete. We just need to finish off the kitchen ❤️
Such a wonderful visit. You really must go back to Veules-les-Roses for the roses! Heidi is such a beautiful young lady (as are you, of course!), I was especially impressed by her choice of pastry.
Very peaceful & beautiful video. Kindly make a video on Osborne House. Osborne House is a former royal residence in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. I am from India & want to see queen Victoria's Osborne House. Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to watch 🥰 I’ve been to Osbourne House before, it’s fabulous! This was before I started this RUclips channel though so I shall have to return 😊
Yes the French drive on the right and we drive on the left. I find it a struggle but Peter is amazing at driving and can drive pretty much anything from motorbikes to lorries, he even taught drifting at one point so is well versed with vehicles. He’s driven all over Europe so is used to being able to swap sides 😊 unlike me lol 😂
Pure bliss ❤
It always is being in France 🇫🇷🥰

Heidi is a very talented artist!
She’s always had such an interest in art from a very young age, always drawing and painting. I think she may well be an artist one day!
@@theslowtravelsfamily I hope to buy one of her pieces one day ❤️
I noticed her art work because I am an artist and I wanted to say major PROPS for using the Posca pens...those are great and her art work shows her talent. Bravo Heidi!🎨💙
@d.martinez-rodriguez333 she was talking about color theory in another video...made my heart swell with pride.
Beautiful photography. Absolutely charming video. Loved all of it! Thank you for sharing.

Do the French drive on the opposite side of the road? If so, how does your husband manage to switch so suddenly? I would be so confused LOL.
Yes the French drive on the right and we drive on the left. Where is Jean-Michel Trogneux ?
