Senesced bines were pruned and removed from the field. New pine bark fines were added to the hills for weed control.

This is a research hopyard at the UF/IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Balm, Florida. We use LED supplemental lighting to control the timing of flowering. In this experiment, we are comparing two trellis designs (straight trellis vs V-trellis) at three heights (12, 15, and 18 ft).
