Good review.
Get off Anthony's computer Chuchesta
Hey Anthony
I love how esoteric and cryptic Ishmael is. He never gives anything up easily but his lyrical imagery is lush and richly detailed. Once you break through the layer, though, it only adds to the effect. And that fuckin' production he goes over... totally amazing.
Great review guys, Feefo's reviewing skills continue to grow, probably his best input for a review yet.
Yo Feefo been getting crazy with his analysis. That was my one gripe with him in the earlier videos of DEHH but now he's killing it. Much respect.
Hell of a review guys, really did your thing. In the end this review just made me really wanna check out the album! Sounds like something I'd really appreciate. But yeah, thanks for the review as always. I'd totally sign up for that ticket give-a-way but there's no way I'd be able to go down to Atlanta, especially on my second day of starting College! But I'm sure the concert will be stellar. I'm totally expecting some sort of concert review from your channel though, Myke! It's a damn shame that jackass stole your laptop and you weren't able to put up what I recall being the Moody Black concert review. But yeah, dope review guys.
Once again, Myke the only guy I can say spits truth. I nod my head almost every single time he speaks in these reviews. I haven't agreed with most of your takes on Isaiah Rashad or Ratking's reviews (which are two of my favorite along with this Shabazz Palaces album). I certainly would be interested to hear your thoughts on Mick Jenkins & Underachievers' newest releases and am absolutely shocked that you haven't done a review for Atlanta's own Earthgang album yet. Again, appreciate the insight, but I mostly only agree with C Town in most of your latest reviews.
is this album of the year so far for anyone else? can't stop listening to this project.
Thumbnail looks like feefo's album cover
HAHAHAHA
this fool says debut album cover,I'm dead
Feefo - The Bump in the Whip
A collection of bass heavy southern boomin shit....
Guys I hope you're reading this but when you guys reach 75,000 subscribers you should do a freestyle video where you all try to freestyle :D
do it!!
***** seriously, just freestyle some written stuff!
But we already seen Ken do it in the Cormega review! lol
beezy430 Do that new G Unit EP.... 10x better than Animal Ambition. It actually creates excitement for the G Unit album. And if 50 continues to improve like he did here... then people might be in for that SKI release as well.
djwarzone1 haha yes anything, i just want to here kinge spit some bars haha
And i think they could probably rap better then the new G unit
100% agree with Myke. This is easily the AOTY to me so far, and I recently got to see them live performing the new album and I would highly recommend people go check them out. It will make you appreciate the album even more.
I'm sad that you guys aren't reviewing the new Underachievers album but still looking forward to the review of the new Mick Jenkins project.
They said they aren't???????????!!!!
They would get so many views for the UA album review. That doesn't make sense. But, I know there are a lot of hip hop albums to review now. Mick Jenkins, Dilated Peoples... not sure if they'll give Wiz Khalifa's new album a review. Joell Ortiz also came out with an album recently too.
In case you guys didn't know, Lese Majesty came out on July 29th and they are just now reviewing it. New UA came out a week and a half ago. So it obviously takes them a second to get around to doing reviews since they all have jobs and have to get everyone together at a convenient time. They have to listen to it extensively before the review, actually get together and talk about it, and then wait for modest media to edit.
Ken said they weren't on the trinidad james conversation comments section.
Fuck man i was waiting on that review it's not that amazon it's sorta on par with indigoism but it has a lot of improvements
Damn. Feefo getting all philosophical with this. Great vid!!
Feefo and his damn "bang it in the whip" LOL!!!
that's his thing lol, he's always said it.
I loved this album, this is my fav hip hop album of the year by far to me
Haven't watched it yet but thanks so much for doing this! Didn't think you guys would cover it. Also, not that anyone will see this or care but sorry about being a dick in general. Probably could have worded my thoughts to be accurate to how I feel while also being a lot less pointed/inflammatory on your mike brown protest video. I think what you guys did was a good thing and I wasn't trying nor would I ever try to knock something like that.
All good. Thanks for watching.
nice transition 0:42
I wonder what y'all gon to say about the Souls of Mischief new joint!!!!
I've been looking forward to this for awhile. Shout out to Feefo for his indepth research!
Another great review from dehh. yo I just wanted to know if you plan to review the upcoming Jhene Aiko album or if yall are gonna skip it.
Can you guys do a review of B L A C K I E? Or a solo review from Myke maybe.
Nice Mayhem shirt, Myke! \m/
Awwww surprised so what genres do you like?
sean GETOFMYJOCK I'm kinda all over the place myself. I like Hip Hop, Metal (loads of different subgenres of it), Punk, Shoegaze, Jazz, Folk, Psytrance, I could list a bunch more but I'll keep it short. lol
Getty I'm trying to get into punk and metal recommend any good bands?????
sean GETOFMYJOCK For Punk, I'd start with some of the bigger-name oldschool groups like Misfits, Minor Threat, Charged GBH, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Verbal Abuse, Black Flag, D.R.I, etc. Those are a good place to start.
As for Metal, I honestly wouldn't know where exactly to start because there's a LOT of subgenres that differ from each other in many ways. I guess it all depends on what you're going for in terms of instrumentation. If you're looking for Death Metal, go with Death, Atheist or Mammoth Grinder, if you're looking for Thrash go with Warbringer, Toxic Holocaust or Slayer, if you're looking for Black Metal, go with Emperor, Immortal or Belphegor, I guess. With Metal, it's best to just roam around a little until you find something that really catches you.
Thanks man I've been listening to dead
Kenddys plastic surgery and will check out those other bands and for metal all these sub genres confuse me a bit but u guess I like you said just find something that's for me
dope group, really enjoyed this album, I think I like this more than Black Up !!!
fave tracks are Ishmael, Dawn In Luxor, Forunner Foray and mcm snorkel
I like how Kinge is like i'm not doin all that research! lol. Haven't listened to any material by Shabazz Palaces but it sounds pretty deep though. haha. Will check out. Great review!
i know its a instrumental kinda album but fuck it REVIEW Flying Lotus Your Dead when it drops lol
Why bother, it's generic trash made to sound deep via a stupid amount of compression over the master track.
This album is The shit.
I may be a complete moron... but personally, I got a Radiohead Kid A feeling from it. Not that it sounded like Radiohead at all. Just as an album, as a package, it took me back to 2000. There are tracks on their own I don't absolutely 'love' but when I turn this on I always listen to the whole album.
Dope review. Lese majesty was smooth to me. I enjoyed Black Up a little more of course but overall interesting album. You guys should do a review on Cellar Door by The Underachievers
Feefo has been killing it lately, man!
Please review Mick Jenkins - The Water[s]

Nice review but can u guys talk about how original songs don't get as much love like a different version for example llyod banks jackpot and bobby shmurdas version.
Hey could you review Days Before Rodeo by Travis Scott?
Mick Jenkins - The Water[s]
Great artist, please review the project
Hey Myke you should check out a track called "Nefisa" by a UK trip hop band Earthling.Reminds me A LOT of Shabazz Palaces.
The problem with Rapgenius is that it makes so many 'alternative' rappers sound like lyrically dense, abstract geniuses by reading way too much into the lyrics. It can be useful, for sure, but when people write two paragraphs for some simple punchline it feels like overkill. Seems like a stretch, but maybe it would be better if only a large team of highly discerning web staff could annotate the lyrics
Totally agree. It makes some guys look really good when in realty that's not even what they meant.
It's basically using comprehension along with common sense. I have an account with RapGenius but it sure does take a lot of work trying to explain lyrics for artists like Drake & Wayne because you have to put in facts but also think about past lines they're referring to and try to stretch the line but also, again, have common sense.
I agree but only to an extent. Shabazz palaces is some awesome, cryptic, intellectual, and clever shit. Significantly more than other underground rap groups.
I agree about Shabazz Palaces being complex and clever. There are plenty of lyrically adept rappers who deserve the myriad of interpretations they garner. But a lot alternative rappers tend to be overpraised and overanalysed because the genre is so hot right now. When I read TTC's yonkers lyric "I'm a fuckin' walking paradox", and some people think he might be saying 'pair of docs' as a double entendre - satirising youth culture etc. etc. it makes me laugh since I doubt he's actually THAT clever.
Look up Friday by Rebecca black on rapgenius. The shit is funny as hell
You guys need to review Mick Jenkins water
can you review travis scott's days before rodeo?
absolutely agree with myke c town, the whole album is haunting and takes you on a journey. great album, top 5 of the year for sure
myke c town is the only reason I follow these guys honestly
Myke, just to let you know the songs are all connected in what they call suites. For example, the opening 3 songs are all one suite and so on.
Could you guys review Statik Selektah "What Goes Around." All the samples are from jazz records.
Can you do a review of the new G-Unit EP The Beauty of Independence?
Review Mick Jenkins- Water[s] next.
Sir Michael Rock's new project review?

Review the new DILATED PEOPLES, please.
I'm 5 years late, but I love this album and I'm the average Hop head.
Review "Days Before Rodeo" by Travi$ Scott
I enjoyed Black Up a lot more too but I appreciate what Shabazz Palaces is going for.
He just dropped Cabaret Voltaire as a comparison? Touchè
Travis Scott "Days Before Rodeo"
Mick Jenkins The water[s]
Review: the cellar door - the underachievers
Mick Jenkins - The Water
Please review Cellar Door!
Remember that Lese Majesty means Injured Greatness... This is a SCORE for the movie called Hip Hop. You are NOT really listening to an album. You are watching a movie. This album sectioned and arranged as if it belonged in an Audio art gallery... Also, these two men are master Qabalists...Just look at the colors and how they mesh with the album motifs... A serious ting dey!
Review that Days Before Rodeo EP by Travi$ Scott.

The lyrics on here are very abstract, and I don't get every bar but u can sense the black vibe. And also listen to this on headphones, it's a difference.

Review Mick Jenkins- The Water [s]
Blacc Hollywood new Wiz album review?
No..
:(
Butterfly been on some other shit sense day 1.
Earthling Crusader Love Lese Majesty!
i like to think that im a very open minded hip hop fan that tends to listen to more far out expiremental music but i thought this was wack. i feel a sense of nihilism more so than being over your head, the tracks just drifted around to random grooves that missed more so than hit. if they were going for the idea of going off of feeling or whatever (which i think it is by knowing the rest of their catalogs general ideaolgy) they missed. shabazz mastered a off kilter sound and then went back to the drawing board and ended up in the sophomore slump imo.
