Yoo DEHH! Much love for how u all are giving the oportunity for the new school on your reviews and glad to see that the Classic ones have a place there to. Continue that work, u guys are for sure the best out there reviewing hip hop. Keep it truth! And one more thing fellas, try not to sleep on Mick Jenkins. The kid is fire, from chi-town! Try to support his last mixtape ( Water[s] ), is such a dope work. Def one of the best mixtapes since Acid Rap. Bet lot of people would like a review on that! And just got to say... Joey Bada$$ just bodies the last track.
Yeah DEHH is up there for me as far as best youtube album reviewers one of the most unique channels defenitely deserve more subs and views than they get really appreciate what they do both on the channel and the site
Let's be honest, not even close
I like Add-2 from Chicago. He is the best thing to come out as far as rappers with substance
If you haven't heard it yet, check out Cormega's recent interview on The Combat Jack Show. He breaks down the album and really explains his thought process behind the album.
13:05 Sorry Myke C town but Chuck D said Say saggin backwards line 10 years ago in. Harder than you. Think.
"He reminds me of Nas" lol, i know they squashed the beef but made me laugh
Same here lol.
Damn, I was about to sleep on this but the way you guys were talking about it actually has me really excited to hear it.
I take a slight offense to that young cat statement. I'm 24 now but I've been listening to Little Brother, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, and other grown man artists since I was 15 in the tenth grade. I remember my sophomore year in high school pretty much all I listened to that year was The Minstrel Show, The Listening, and Late Registration the entire year on my CD player. Hadn't gotten an iPod yet lol. All the artists I mentioned plus Kanye have been some of my favorite rappers of all time since high school. Hell, I really got deep into hip hop through Little Brother.
17 and loving this album. so happy you guys reviewed this, but beezy shocked me
Thank you for this discussion. I went and listened to Industry. I'm so old school - I'm pre-school. I loved it. I have already posted the video to my facebook wall. I could add some thoughts regarding his association with Min. Farrakhan in the video and the use of the hat and images of money from a visual perspective that supports the idea that his message is very TIMELY!
im 17 and i love cormega
check out brother ail last album too dope
I did and that s dope 2
Nathleen Holt bother ail?
No he means brother Ali
noshit
"Ken Spitting them BARS" LMAOOOO
Ken got bars for days
Ken got more bars than a jail cell.
Cuzinshampoo ken was suppose to have a mixtape named "Turn the levels to shit the phuck up"..wonder what happened? lol
Now I want that mixtape
Iam RiSkO It got shelved temporarily but it's coming!
Beezy got told in the intro hahahah!!
Thanx 4 this review...I was wondering when u guys were gonna touch on this album...Mega did his thing on this project...I say for a classic album review ya'll should do The Blackstar Album or do some Little Brother album reviews too
Thank you for this Review, you are the best. Respect to myke and kinge feelin this project.
damn, wasnt expecting a review today :D
will check this album out right now!
are you planning on reviewing Underachievers new one, or Mick Jenkins?
Actually potential to be my favourite Cormega project now, thanks DEHH for putting me on this.
Great album. Would like to hear your thoughts on the new Ces Cru album too
I wonder how y'all gon discussion about the Mike Brown case and J. Cole tribute song
K Inge and Myke always have the realest reviews.. Feefo has truth to his too.. I understand why B said it might be boring because he's not talking street shit, but this album is dope af, Cormega and Large Pro did a great job on it
Are we not gonna talk about Myke wearing a Mayhem shirt? Props for that.
Hold up Myke! 13:00 "Old Basic KRS from 1985 Lines" ARE DOPE! haha
21 and love this project......
u gotta review The Waters-Mick Jenkins.. slowly creepin into my top 5 rn
This is a really solid album. I bought it and im very happy i did. In my top 5 this year
Please review Mick Jenkins The Waters. I'm really interested to hear your opinions.
Cormega is one of the most underrated hip hop artists.
He the only rapper I like truthfully my opinion I like him over nas siply cause he relatable
yall HAVE to review the water[s]...not tryna rush just makin sure yall at least consider it.
We gonna get a review of the new Shabazz Palaces album?
And again I agree with Myke,
when people react to an album that talks about pressing issues
by sayin' it's "too preachy"...makes the artist not wanna talk
about the issues. That's what happened with Lupe, some
critics claimed his last album was "preachy'.
I'm seeing Shabazz Palaces this Thursday in DC!!
Damn, did Myke & Beezy have like some kind of Freaky Friday situation. Your opinions are so opposite of what I expected lol. Good review though.
You guys should review Mick Jenkins' new tape The Water[s], it's really good.
Cormega's dope because he's a very aware MC. He balances his technical aspects with what's being said in a way that feels fresh, introspective and quality.
I just assumed Rod was filming, 10:50 guess not.
I really liked this album, it should be talked about more. It felt super energetic from halfway to the end. The beats and production sounded so old school. Really blew me away. Cormega's best, man.
More fire from Large Pro, glade to see Mega hooking up with one of the best for a whole album. Not as sick as Professor @ Large but still best thing I've heard from Mega in a decade.
I knew you guys were gonna review this. The Water[s] up next please.
Myke rockin' that Mayhem shirt \m/
Brilliant review as usual, I'm 100% agreed with Mike!
review Mick Jenkins the water[s]
great album
Really great album
Are around the old guy's eyes naturally dark like that?
Awesome shirt Myke
Please review the "Your old Droog EP"
Somebody get me some water,
I'm dying of first!
How long you been waiting to say that one?
I gotta admit I saw on another video
KineticLava Well at least you're honest.
never do this again
Youre disgusting....
Mick Jenkins - The Water[s] pweeez. Y'all know people aren't gonna shut up until y'all review it.
Shocked at Beezy's review of this joint. This album was composed very well. 4/5
beezy430 I feel you.
You guys gonna do the new CES CRU album? They're strange so its not like they're really obscure or anything.
Would yall mind doin Mick Jenkins The Water[s] next.? Or even Trees and Truths even though its from last year.
Cormega has always been that dude. Great emcee.
Ya'll should review "Water(s)" by Mick Jenkins. and I'm just waiting for the dilated peoples album.
I'm 22 and I'd rate The Realness as one of the best albums of the naughties. Cormega is a real emcee and he presents rap with substance.
beezy430 don't sleep on true meaning
@@kathykelly5930 mega the only rapper I can listen to he the truth period
You guys should review The God Complex by GoldLink
Should do a top 5 or 10 albums of all time
Dope review
Who cares if it's only 30 minutes long. I'd rather listen to a 30 minute album where they actually have a message on each song, then an hour of someone just talking rubbish on every single song. Quality over quantity any day. That's what's a lot of rappers are lacking these days. Most rappers just throw a load of random shit on an album without any real concept.
i care if its only 30 min just because its quality with a message dosent mean it should be less then like an hour
Kid Kapam I don't think you got the point of what I was saying. I'd be more then happy for it to be over an hour if it had quality songs, but most of the time rappers just have too many filler tracks which are average at best.
you probably have more broader horizons then me but the few rappers i listen to barley have any filler songs whatsoever in there whole catalog at least in my opinion, but I'm disappointed in any album that can't give me like 50 mins at least of all quality music
Fair do's. A lot of the albums I've been hyped for this year have been disappointing. So far this is one of the best I've heard and Statik Selektah's will most likely be brilliant as well.
That beep scared the shit out of me!
Mick Jenkins - The Water[s], get on it yall.
I'm 21 and I never heard about this dude so I may check it out.
Rob in frame when Myke starts his part lol
Not gonna review the new underachievers project?
let them breathe!
The album was amazing man. 8/10.
Fck all that whats good with the waters?
NiggaDown No dis to the underachievers, i fucks with them as well.
NiggaDown everyone overrated the waters for me so I didn't enjoy it as much as i possibly could have. still a good project though.
Your old droog ep review?
it's strange hearing someone from the US not knowing about cormega, but i guess the states is a very big place, just makes me wonder what feefo was listening to in the 90's and early 000's
I wanna see a review of The Water[s] by Mick Jenkins. I downloaded after Fantano's review of it and I like what I hear so far!
I enjoyed this album a lot dope shit
are u guys gonna review that blacc holywood? i wanna see myke rip it apart...
Public Enemy used the saggin backwards line in the song Harder Than You Think
review body high by Lucki Eck$ (very underapreciated mixtape) and The Water[s] by Mick Jenkins
Not gonna lie, only knew about him because of Affirmative Action. Maybe I'll check out more of his stuff
B hit it right on the dot! I mean the content was cool and all but until a big artist comes out and delivers this kind of content, the industry is still gonna the same. And Feefo was right too! Not a lot of young people are gonna be interested in this project.
chuck d said it best "Lips bigger than Jagger, not saggin, spell it backwards, I'ma leave it at that that ain't got nothing to do with rap"
Ok so does this mean you're going to do a Shabazz Palaces review or not? Would be kinda fucked that you'd rep them in this manner and not review their new album.
Sidenote: I'm seeing them on friday :D
Mick Jenkins - The Water[s]!
17 years old and this was my shit
Review the new Mick Jenkins project The Water[s]
Album of the year for me
You guys need to review jeezy seen it all album when it drops
You guys should give Travi$ Scott's new album/mixtape a listen. If ur feelin it then maybe a review!
yall should review Dag Savage - E & J , its all produced by exile
Ima young cat and I love krs one , cormega , talib , mc Shan ect .. Grew up bumping real hip hop
His albums are albums you can hear from beginning to end there not classic in my opinion but there really good to listen to. His two best albums in my opinion are The true meaning and The realness.
I'm 18 and I love Talib Kweli and KRS-One.
Mick Jenkins- the waters?
Public Enemy had the Saggin line on "Harder Than You Think"
Welcome to Fazoland: Lil Herb review pleasee
And one that i bet Beezy will like is the new mixtape from Nolan the Ninja: The iLL Sh*t. Beats on point, his lyrics floats nicely during the tracks, hes from Detroit, def know how to spit thats no question and we got a chance to hear Noveliss (from Clear Soul Forces) on the 7th track. U guys should check that mixtape out to, is a great one.
You guys should talk about the ill mind of hopsin 7
2:06 Always goin in on the young cats! lol. Myke makin fun of Kinge rhymin was pure gold. haha. About that saggin reference though, i haven't heard many artists say anything about it. But, i have heard a lot of older adults make reference to it though and its been said a lot recently. I think a few old people heard the saying and kinda ran with it. haha. 13:51 What dumbass gets money and stays in the fuckin hood? Get the fuck outta there! lmao!! Myke is hilarious!
great album
This video was pretty funny. Hoping they interview UA, Dilated Peoples, Mick Jenkins, and Joell Ortiz
Review*
Bruh Large Pro's production doe oh em gee, big homey brought it
Hip Hop needs balance, there's too much trash rap. Loved this joint. Concise, mature, dope beats, great topics. Real good listen, support this joint.
hey what's the best mayhem album
Mick Jenkins - The Water[s] should be the next review.
Dead End Hip Hop Could Yall Do More Classic Album Reviews, I Love For Yall To Review Redmans 2nd Album Dare Iz A Darkside & Review DMX's Its Dark & Hell Is Hot Those Reviews Should Be Great Also DJ Quik's Safe & Sound Would Be Nice
Nice to see someone mention Dare Iz A Darkside, my personal favourite Redman album. I don't really think he's capable of doing another great album. Just not heard him hungry for a long ass time!
Mr Ed I Feel U But Redman Is Still Good But You're Right But His First 3 Albums R Classic
Directors of Photography? DILATED PEOPLES...
I'm pretty sure cormega bit that line from chuck d on the song harder than you think
Mick jenkins or the underachievers new album?
Yall gotta do Mick Jenkins- Waters next.
To Feefo's comment I'm 16 and I love this kind of hip hop. Yes I do like some of the ratchet shit to just throw on in the car but this shit is real and definitely worth 10 bucks
"Lips bigger than Jagger not saggin, spell it backwards Ima leave it at that. That ain't got nothing to do with rap"
Chuck D said that a few years ago on "Harder than you think" :)
Dilated Peoples- Directors of Photography album review?
Hate to break it to you Mike, but Soulja Boy had that saggin' line years ago. Doesn't really matter though.
Soulja Boy said that ? Eh...I don't think it would be as "thought provoking" as the guy that they're talking about. No diss to you (because you might be a SB fan) but the way he carries himself and his music, I'm shocked he would say something like that.
*be as
Brenda Cole SB sucks, not a fan at all. He said it very crappy though. "My pants saggin spell it backwards thats niggas"...My friend laughed when he heard it and said "No shit".
TheVideoInvader Lol yeah I just looked it up and like you said, the delivery of that line was SHITTY. The line itself isn't all that deep like Myke said BUT, it's kinda "weird" how the two correspond with each other. Not dissing dudes who sag, but from what I witnessed from the environment I was accompanied by, majority of dudes who do, indeed posses that mentality.
what about the chuck D line 'Lips bigger than Jagger, not sagging, spell it backwards, I'ma leave it at that, that ain't got nothing to do with rap'
