    put rifling in the barrel and ever so slightly extend it so the magnet speeds up better

    If you put a firing pin on on the end of the spring ands a 9mm barrel…. Single shot pistol.

      Bit overkill on the firing pin spring, but it will fire… Once… Then, you gotta worry about a potential case rupture shooting back at ya. But it may not… One way to find out

    After all of the extra steps taken and attention to detail, I am surprised you decided to connect the grips with adhesive rather than screws, as a gunsmith it feels a little sacreligious. Thats literally the only nitpick I can find, this whole video is incredibly impressive.

    Please try making the metal on the left and right sides of the spring, it would give the effect of a tapered spring, greatly increasing power

      @@serengyarchery Yes. I meant at it travels out of the gun. I guess there is a small groove above and below which keeps it in line.

    would this kind of setup, the metal spring, or whatever, would lose its strength after a while? from the way the metal is compressed, those two points would eventually become structurally compromised, as the strength isn't uniformly distributed, as opposed to the way a spring is being compressed inside of a watch. When hard metal bends repeatedly it becomes softer and softer.

    There are some things best done the old ways that 3D printers can’t do as well and the traditional methods are more rewarding because you can say you completely made it by hand without taking the 3D printer short cut, craftsmanship still has more meaning than easy quick builds but that’s just me

    Хорошие керны получаются из длинных бит-отверток для шуруповерта. Вставляешь в патрон дрели и обтачиваешь рабочюю часть шлифмашиной или наждачной бумагой - получается хоть керн, хоть шило. Сталь S2 очень хороша. А сверху на керн можно одеть кусок резиновой трубки для хорошего хвата.

      не понял одного момента - если у него есть фрезерный станок, он там всякие пазы делал, зачем он под курок дыру вручную выпиливал, и второй момент - зачем надо несколько слоёв фанеры склеивать, а цельная доска не канает ? 🤔

      @@serengyarchery , токаренный мощный ствол, крепление " часовой " основной пружины, магнитный замок крепления снаряда, пружина замка- спуска и ее установка прямо в канал рукояти.
      Только не понял все же , из какого материала шасси(корпус)- вначале вроде из прессованого картона наборная, собранная с эпоксидной смолой, а дальше больше походит на эбонит.
      Только детали УСМ все же не лучше было бы сделать стальными, чтоб меньше изнашивались?

    This is cool. I get great joy from target practice with any gun or gagit that shoots. Unfortunately, here in CA, they cover everything by making it illegal to launch any kind of projectile no maker what it is so I could technically be in trouble if I made and fired this type of gun. Even a blow gun is illegal !!!!

      oh for sure, coping saws are pretty cool and useful for smaller projects that require fine detail. there is definitely an art to it. easy to learn hard to master.
