The 4th Episode of the Global Protection Cluster’s podcast series “Advocating for Protection” and the first of 2024 is out.
The People’s Coalition for the Sahel provides a medium for committed advocates to overcome the shrinking of the civic space and the risks associated with speaking out and advocate for improved protection of civilians in the Sahel region.
Binta from the Observatoire Kisal and Sylvain from Crisis Action recount how the People’s Coalition for the Sahel was formed in response to the outcome of the summit of the Sahel G5 in Pau, South France in 2020 to demand the prioritization of the protection of civilians. They share with us their experiences and thoughts on working within a coalition.
