I was born in 1952 and Chad's Scrubby Creek was one of my first memorys as my Father's old Radio was always turned way up whenever it was played. By the time he died when I was 11 he was called Scrubby. Also I was taken to Large Tent Show on the river flat at Dunno in NSW where I was born.

Chad could be a grumpy old buggar on stage as well. I saw him once at Narrandera and the way he carried on about some feedback coming through a speaker was an embarrassment. Kids there and all. Many parents were not amused, and Chad may have lost a few "fans" that day. That said, he did mellow a bit the older he got. A great performer and to go as long as he has is a credit to him.
Had to reacquaint myself to this to see if it really was as bad as I remember hearing thirty odd years back when played by a friend and giving him shit for liking such crap !!! It is in all reality much much worse than I recall , absolute shit ! Don't know how anybody could like this utter shit ,nor how he ever got anywhere !
